Warming upHave students look at the pictures about Dr. Martin Luther King and the 9.11 event in America and let them think what each picture is about.Step2. fast reading Go through the title and the passage and find the answers to the questions: 1.what are the two events in the passage?2. when did they happen?3. What was Robert Allen doing when Dr. Martin Luther King was killed? 4. what was Kate Smith doing when the 9.11 event happened?(Reading tips: read the first sentence of each paragraph to find the answers quickly.)Step3. careful reading1. read the first two paragraphs to tell true or false and correct the mistakes:(1)Everyone in America remembers who killed Dr. King.
