How Bruce Lee changed the worldSummary: The history channel has showed us how Bruce Lee changed the world by means of the interviews of those celebrities in various areas and the analysis of those films of Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee, the father of mixed martial arts, has not only made an outstanding contribution to the modern skillful art and the development of performance arts of movies, but also has had great effects on other areas such as philosophy, martial arts,physical fitness, music and branding. Bruce Lees introduction to philosophy started early at 13 when he began studying kungfu under the guidence of the legendary master Yewen. After his study in American, he summed up his philosophy being flexible, fluid, and not sticking into one particular style. However, his philosophy could be applied to anything, like martial arts. Bruce Lee not only introduced the world to martial arts, he also reinvented it, creating his own, called Jeet Kune Do，which was admired by a lot of people around the world. Whats more, his approach to health and physical fitness would change the way other athletes and sports people train their bodies forever. They regarded Bruce Lee as the model of perfect shape. Furthermore, a lot of musicians, dancers and cartoonist were mostly inspired by Bruce Lee. They added what they learned from him into their own works, and created a variety of famous classical works. Also, Bruce Lees image was used widely to advertisement creation. In short, Bruce Lee was respected and remembered by people all over the world in various ways.Comment： I have a new understanding of Bruce Lee through this documentary. He is not only an icon to the world, but also a hero in my heart. Martial artists and sportsmen admire him for his physical dexterity, power and speed; philosophers respect him for bridging the philosophical divide between east and west; the bodybuilders hold Bruce Lee up as inspiration for their community; as for me, he is also a person who influences me a lot. His spirits-never say die, be unyielding, and keep striving , which I admire most. In my opinion, this motto is the main reason that Bruce Lee can make such great achievement in various areas. No matter how hard things are, he would manage to make it, and this unyielding spirit is what modern people lack. Then, the other aspect that he influence me is his patriotism. He once said, I am Chinese, I am yellow skin, I can do everything else everybody else can. And he also put the real Chinese spirit into his films, which changed the ways Asians were before treated on screen forever, changed the Chinese images in westerners hearts. Finally, to be real is another spirit that affects me a lot. Whether on the screen or in life, he pursued the real, and he was the first person who use his phenomenal kungfu skills on screen.
