Can you surf the Internet at home after school? Can you go out at night? Can you play basketball every day?”Talk about these questions.Step 2 PresentationTell the students, “We can use another similar way to express can do sth.” Then help the students say, “ I can go out at night. Im allowed to go out at night. I cant surf the Internet every day. Im not allowed to surf the Internet.” Point out “be allowed to” and its Chinese meaning “被允许”.Step 3 ReadingGet the students to read the sentences. After understanding, choose “A” or “D”.A point:get their ears piercedget sth done 结构 get “使,让”,done是过去分词在这里表被动,此结构的含义为“让别人去做某事”,也可用have sth done.例:Ill get / have my hair cut tomorrow.Step 4 ListeningListen to the tape about 1b. Check the answers. Then ask the students to read the listening materials.Step 5 ListeningListen to the tape and circle “Agrees” “Disagrees” or “Doesnt know ”in 2a. Listen again and number in 2b. Read the Listening text and understand it.Step 6 PairworkAsk the students to discuss about what teenagers should be allowed to do and what tennagers should not be allowed to do. Then ask some to say their ideas out.用心 爱心 专心第二课时Step 1 RevisionTalk about what the teenagers should be or should not be allowed to do. Step 2 Grammar FocusRead the sentences in the Grammar Focus and translate them into Chinese. Make the students grasp the use of “should (not) be allowed to”. Point out it is Active Voice.Step 3 A gameHave a competition of making sentences about “school rules” using “be / be not allowed to” between boys and girls.Step 4 Reading Say “Do you have family rules? Maybe everyone has family rules. Then lets look at the rules in Sun Fei and Wu Yus house.”Read the conversation by two groups in 3a. Finish the chart below it. Check the answer by asking different students.A point:So do we. 这是倒装句。表示“我们也一样“。承接上文,本句相当于:We have a lot of rules at my house, too.So + 助动词 /情态动词 / be动词+ 主语 用来表示“.也一样”。例:I am a student. My brother is a student, too. = I am a student. So is my brother. Lin Tao can play basketball. Wang Xin can play basketball, too. = Lin Tao can play basketball. So can Wang Xin. They like English. So do we. = They like English. We like English, too.Step 5 PairworkMake similar dialogues to the one in 3b according to the one in 3a in pairs at first. Then ask pairs to practice.Homework:Recite the conversation in 3a.第三课时Section BStep 1 Warming upSay out the class rules as quickly as possible.Step 2 SurveyPut up some phrase cards on the blackboard. Ask “Do you every do these things? How often do you do these things?”Then after talking, come to 1a, ask the students to write “A” “U” “S” and “N”.Step 3 TalkingTalk about the things in 1a with partners using the conversation similar to 1b.Step 4 ListeningListen to the tape. Finish 2a and 2b. This is our school rule.Talk about some other school rules.Step 2 ReadingBefore reading, understand the five questions below the passage. Ask the students to scan it and then answer the five questions. Then comprehend the passage.1. the other day: several days ago “几天前,前几天”2. concentrate on sth. “专注于某事”例:He is concentrating his science study.3. allow sb to do sth “允许某人做某事”(主动语太形式)例:Parents should allow the kids to choose their own clothes. (主动语态)The kids should be allowed to choose their own clothes (by parents.) (被动语态)4. at present = now, at the moment “目前,此刻”Ask the students to read the passage after the tape.Step 3 PracticeAccording to the passage, ask the students to make up conversations using the information in 3a. Homework: Recite the passage in 3a.第五课时Step 1 RevisionReview the contents of the passage in 3a. Ask some students to retell it.Step 2 Self checkFor Ex 1, get the students to fill in each blank with the words given after they understand the meaning of every word.For Ex 2, first read, then comprehend it. Then write a letter.
