Revision 1.Words: tall-taller, small-smaller, late-later,fat-fatter,big-bigger, funny-funnier, early-earlier, hard-working-more hard-working, outgoing-more outgoing (1). The rulers of the comparative forms. a. 一般情况直接加er。如:smart,tall,fast,high。 b. 以不发音字母e结尾的,直接加r。如:fine,late。 c. 以重读闭音节结尾的单词,且末尾只有一个辅音字母时,先双写该辅音字母,再加er。 d. 在多音节词前和部分双音节词前,直接加more。 e. 常用的几个不规则变化:good/ well/-better-best much/ many-more-most1. Group work a. Ask students to read the sentences. b. Work in group work to find the language points what they have learned in this part. c. The teacher recruits the language points. (1)两者进行比较,表示“一方比另一方更 A + be + 形容词比较级 + than + B e.g. Im more outgoing than you. 我比你更外向。 A + 实义动词 + 副词比较级 + than + B e.g. Tom jumps higher than Jack. 汤姆比鲍勃跳得更高。 (2)两者进行比较,表示“一方与另一方一样” . A + be + as 形容词原形 + as + B e.g. Jack is as funny as Mike. 杰克与迈克一样滑稽。 A + 实义动词 + as 副词原形 + as + B e.g. Claire gets up as early as Sue. 克莱尔与休起得一样早。2. Pair work (work on 3a) . Ask the students to read the first sentence. So that they can understand how to finish this task. . Work in pair work to finish the tasks. . Check the answers.3. Writing (work on 3b) . Ask the students to think of themselves two years ago. Write about how they are different now. . Ask some groups to share their answers.4. Make a survey.(work on 3c). Ask the students to compare their parents. Check () who is smarter, funnier, etc. in the chart. Then ask their partner about his /her parents. . Ask students to share their results with us.5.
