The university is located in the famous city Harbin of Northern China. HUC comprises 18 colleges, 31 research institutes and research centers. HUC currently has 30,000 students, 1,249 full-time teachers who include 532 professors and associate professors, 19 experts who are granted the special allowance of State Council, 12 provincial and ministerial experts. Perennially some experts or professors from UK, USA, Japan and Russia teach and do research in HUC. Trainees and university also cultivated very deep friendship.Training Course ContentAuthorized by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, Harbin University of Commerce will host the Training Course on Modern Hotel Management in Harbin from August 28th to September 26th in 2009. The working language of the training course is English. This training course adopts the method of “seminar and lecturesfield tripworkshop”, the main content is advanced management ideas, management experiences and management approaches of hotel industries of China and the world. The course will be taught by professors of Harbin University of Commerce, general mangers of several well-known hotels in Harbin, experts from hotel and tourism management industries who have both high theoretical levels and rich practical experiences. The main content is present development status of hotel industry in China, history and successful experience of modern hotel industry, development trends and priorities of the hotel industry, cost control of modern hotel, hotel investment and return, innovative approaches of hotel products, and experience of hotel Food & Beverage management. During the training, trainees will be arranged to visit well-known hotels of Harbin such as Shangri-La, Post Hotel, Victories Hotel, Tian Ma Hotel, Moon Bay Television City.
