Introduce the key vocabularies.1.Get students to focus on the three kinds of noodles in the picture. Point to and read the sign in front of each bowl: Special 1, Special 2, and special 3.Then point to the ingredients in each bowl and read the letter next to each ingredient.3. Then ask students to match each word with one of the ingredients in noodles. Write the letters of each food picture after the name of the food.4. Check the answers.Step 2 1b1. Point to the three bowl of noodles. Point to and read the names of the three specials or ask a student to do it. Then point to the bowl one at a time and ask what ingredients are in the bowl of noodles.2. Play the recording the first time. Students only listen.3. Play the recording the second time. This time, ask students to check the bowl of noodles that the person ordered.Step 3 1c1. Practice the dialogue with a student. Ask the students to be the waiter while you order the noodles.2. Ask the students to work in pairs. Have the students take turns being the waiter and the person ordering the noodles. Students practice both rules.Step 4 2a1. Point to the food in the picture and ask students to point to and name each one.2. Show the bowls of small, medium and large.3. Play the recording the first time. Students only listen.4. Play the recording a second time. This time, ask students to put checkmark next to each food mentioned in the tape.5. Check the answers.Step 5 2b1. Play the recording and ask students to listen and write the word in each blank.2. Check the answers.Step 6 2cPractice ordering the kind of noodles you like. Use the dialogue in activity 2b.Step 7 2d1. Listen to the tape and the questions.2. Point out a few language points in the conversation.(1) May I take your order?(2) one bowl of beef soup(3) -What size would you like?-Small/Medium/Large.3. Role-play the dialogue.Step 8 Summary and HomeworkLet students show what they have learnt in this class.
