Warming-up1. Show a chart to students and ask questions about the chart.2. Ask students to retell what Sally and Jim did last weekend according to the chart. Ask them to pay attention to the time order.3. Show a passage to students and ask them to fill the blanks.4. Encourage students to talk about what they think of Sallys and Jims last weekend. Before writing(3a)1. Ask students to work in pairs to talk about the pictures in 3a.2. Ask students to fill the blanks in 3a.Then check the answers .3. Have students look at the different marks in the passage on the screen and then ask them to work in groups to discuss the function.4. Ask students to show their opinions and lead them to find out the writing components. Pair work & Brainstorming1. Ask students to work in pairs to talk about these 2 questions:How was your weekend?What did you do last weekend?2. Ask students to have a brainstorming competition between boys and girls and write as many answers as possible. While writing1. Lead students to focus on the writing components again.2. Show a chart about checklist to students to help them know how to write better.3. Ask a student to write on the blackboard and have the rest students write on a piece of paper.4.
