Unit 6 Im watching TV.Period 1 Section A (1a-1c)(人教版七年级) 庐江五中 董照稳一、教学背景分析1、教材分析本单元以“what are you doing?” 引出话题,谈论人们正在做什么,并围绕这一主题展开各种教学活动,并引出现在进行时的一般疑问句,否定句及特殊疑问句等语言功能,本单元旨在创造一个轻松、愉快的学习,交流环境,让学生能在“做中学(learn by doing)”通过有限的课堂实践活动,注意观察别人的行动,能准确用英语来表达。本课时主要以听说为主,感受语言,运用基础语言(通过听,看图确定或描述人物的动作),重点掌握和运用what are you doing? Whats he/she doing?和Is he/she eating dinner? 及其答语等句型、学好本课时对后面课时的学习起很好的铺垫作用。2、学情分析我所教学的对象是七年级学生,对英语普遍感兴趣、但有很大的不稳定性,好奇心强,求知欲旺盛,希望得到他人的肯定。因此我在教学活动中尽量让他们参与到活动中来,有更多的机会来说英语,通过学生间的合作学习,降低他们的学习难度使他们体验到成功的喜悦,提高他们综合运用语言的能力。二、教学目标1、 Knowledge goals :1)短语和单词:watching TV ,cleaning ,reading a newspaper talking on the phone ,using the computer, making soup, washing the dishes2、 Ability goals 1)能用现在进行时的各种形式进行准确的描述和表达正在发生的动作。2)能掌握现在进行时态及一些表示具体动作的词组搭配,如: watching TV、reading a newspaper. 等。3、Moral goals :培养学生学习英语的强烈兴趣,乐于参加各种活动的积极情感,乐于合作,培养学生团结合作的精神。三、教学重、难点1、教学重点:重点词汇、词组搭配和现在进行时的用法。2、教学难点:现在进行时中现在分词的结构及读音,能在交际中准确地运用现在进行时来描述或表达正在进行的动作。四、教学准备1、教师:准备教学课件 ,录音机和磁带以及一些小纸花作为奖品。2、学生:搜集一些朋友或家人的照片,尤其是表现正在做某事情的照片。五、教学过程Step 1 Greeting Greet all the students as usual.( 设计意图:以引起同学们的注意力,尽快进入学习状态。)Step 2 Revision and Warming up Show a big picture of Jay Zhou on the screen and ask them to answer some questions. 1.Do you know him? 2.Whats his name? 3.What can he do? 4.How does he often go to work? 5.Do you like him? 6.Whats he doing? (设计意图:通过复习一般现在时的句型结构为下面的现在进行时的学习起到一个对比的作用。) Step 3 Presentation Show some pictures on the screen and teach the new words and phrases in this period. T: Boys and girls, Look at picture 1. What is the man doing? Ss: He is reading a newspaper. (设计意图:通过图片展示来学习,能使学生更直观地理解和掌握所呈现的词汇和短语,为后来的活动打下基础。)Step 4 Practice and Discuss 1.Ask them to finish the activity Ia in section A.2.Groupwork. Ask them to work in three. One student performs an action according to the pictures in 1a. They can ask and answer like this: S1: What are you doing? S2: Im reading a newspaper. S1: What is he/she doing? S3: He/She is reading a newspaper.(设计意图: 通过学生亲自表演,目的是让学生在真实情景中学习短语和感受现在进行时的结构和用法.)3. Ask them to make a competition ,encourage them to make oral sentences.(Give a prize to the winner.)For example: Im watching TV,He is talking on the phone, They are listening to a CD, (设计意图:让他们在了解和掌握词汇和短语的基础上再进行造句比赛,降低了难度,极大地调动了他们参与的热情。)4.Show some sentences and some present participles on the screen, then ask them to discuss in groups and draw a conclusion about the structure of the present progressive tense and the forms of the present participle. After their discussion, first ask one or two students to report their discussions and then show the structure on the screen for them.1.现在进行时的结构:be(am/is/are)+doing,表示说话的时候正在发生或进行的动作.2.现在分词的构成规则:(1)一般动词后直接加-ing,如:reading , watching, seeing(2)以不发音的字母e结尾的词去掉e再加-ing, 如:make- making, write-writing .(3)以重读闭音节结尾的词尾只有一个辅音字母,双写这个辅音字母,再加- ing,如:get-getting ,swim-swimming put-putting,run-running.(设计意图:让学生观察句子和现在分词形式分别总结出现在进行时的结构和怎么给动词加ing,培养学生的观察能力和归纳能力。)Step 5 Listening practice1.Have them finish the task in 1b.2. Ask them to read after the tape to correct and train their pronunciation.(设计意图:通过听力训练,现在进行时的结构得以很好的落实。)Step 6 Play a guessing game Ask them to work in three, one student performs an action with his back seen by the other two, they can ask and answer like this: S1: Are you running? S2: No,Im not. S1: Are you washing the dishes? S2: Yes, I am. S3: Is he/she running? S1: No,he/she isnt. S3: Is he/she washing the dishes? S1: Yes, he/she isnt.(设计意图:通过游戏活动,能极大调动学生的参与热情,学生的思维处于积极兴奋的状态,有利于提高课堂效率。)Step 7 Make a survey Ask them to take out the photos they prepared and work in groups(four or six), one student of the group asks and writes down the other students answers, then make a report.(设计意图:通过做调查和报告的形式,可以有效提高学生的口语表达兴趣,培养综合运用语言的能力,从而实现了以学生为中心,自主学习的目标。)Step 8 Do exercises(If time permits)Show the following exercises on the screen.1.Ask them to add “-ing” to the following verbs .cook_ study_ make_ exercise_ swim_get_ see_ run_ listen_ walk_2.Ask them to complete the exercises below1).Look! The cat_(run)up the tree.2).Her parents_(have)breakfast.3).- he _ (clean) the blackboard now.4).Tom_(play)the piano in the room. Please ask him to come here.5).Listen! They_(sing)in the classroom. (设计意图:通过随堂练习,对现在分词的形式和现在进行时态有进一步的理解和掌握。)Step 9 Summary and Homework 1. Ask one or two students to summarize what they got in this class. 2.
