We cant arrive late for class. We must be on time.3.学会礼貌地回答别人的善意提醒:Dont run in the hallways. Sorry, Ms. Clark.三、Teaching difficult points1.正确使用常见的短语,如:arrive late for,be on time, listen to music等。2.学习运用祈使句的否定形式表达“禁止”,情态动词can(cant)表达“许可”以及must表达“义务”的句型。3.注意区别不同情态动词表达意义的区别,can的肯定、否定形式的重弱读变化,学会礼貌地回答别人的善意提醒四、Teaching aids 设计教学PPT,录音机,多媒体,相应的插图。五、Teaching proceduresStep1. Warming-up1.Greet the students as usual and have a free talk.2. Warming up by talking about daily life. T:What time do you usually get to school?S:T: What time do classes begin in the morning?Ss: Classes begin at 8:00.T:Can we get to school at 9:00 A.M.?Ss:T: We cant be late for class.(Show our topic.)3. Show pictures of our school and classroom. Then lead in T:Look ! This is our school. How do you like it? (Qs) Is it clean/beautiful?S:Step2.Presentation1.Show pictures, then come to talk about some activities connected with school rules.T:Can you eat in class?Ss: No, we cant.T:Yeah.We cant eat in class.T:so please dont eat in class.T:Can you eat in the dining hall? Ss: Yes, we can . T:Good student. We cant eat in class. We must eat in the dining hall.2. Show some pictures and help the students to review some words and phrases.3.The teacher uses pictures or gestures to teach the new phrases about school rules.Step 3.Practice1.Work in pairs to talk about rules.A: What are the rules?B: Well. We cant /We must 2.Show their dialogues.Step 4.New lessons1.Show pictures and ask:Are they good students?2. Read the rules and write the numbers of the number of the next to the student.3. Check the answers.4. Play games Get Ss to say out the rules according to the pictures.5. Get students to make a list of our school rules.Step 5.Listening practice(1c). 1.Before listeningT:Now three students are breaking the rules. Theyre Peter, Amy and Mike. What rules are they breaking? 1.Listen to the recording and write down the notes. You can write down one or two key words like this “Peter: run”.2.While listeningPlay the tape for the students to write down the key words. Then play the recording again. Students check their answers with their partners.3.T:Look at your notes. What rules are the three students breaking? Can you answer me in full sentences?T:What rule is Peter breaking?S1:Hes running in the hallways.T:What about Amy? Is it OK to eat in the classroom?S2:No.We cant eat in the classroom. We must eat in the dining hall.T: What rule is Mike breaking?S3: Hes listening to music in class.4. After the students finish the task, ask them some questions to help them learn the proper forms of polite language.T: Are Peter and Amy polite to the teacher?Ss: Yes, they are.T:Why do you think so?Ss: They say “Sorry” to the teacher.T:Does Mike say “Sorry” to the teacher?Ss: No, he doesnt.T:Why doesnt he say “Sorry”?Ss: Because he is listening to music and he cant hear the teacher.Remind them of the polite ways when breaking the rules.T:When you break the rules and someone reminds you, you must say “Sorry”. Step 6.Summary and Assignment1. T: Today we have learned to talk about school rules. Now I show you the PPT, and you say them in English.Ss review the new words in 1a.2.(Show them on the screen.)T: Now, look at the rules and tell them to a new student in the class.(1)Dont arrive late for class.
