Review the words of animals: zoo, cat, dog, mouse, fox, tiger, elephant, bird, bear, snake, giraffe, pig, horse, rabbit, chicken, panda, wolf, fish利用歌曲来制造愉悦的课堂气氛,同时也可以引出本课的话题。再复习动物单词为本课提供足够的素材。Step2Presentation1. Show the pictures of elephant and a mouse and say: Look, the elephant is very big. The mouse is very small. 说时用肢体语言,语气夸张,让学生感受语言的含义,尤其是very的语气要重一些。再用其他动物卡片如:tiger and cat, panda and bird, pig and chick等反差比较大的动物来呈现big和small,以及very的感觉。2. 在学生充分感受这些词之后,再出示elephants nose 和mouses nose进行对比,呈现long and short.say: Look at the elephant, its nose is very long. Look at the mouse, its nose is short. Learn the words long and short. Take out a long pencil and a short pencil and say: This pencil is long. This one is short. Ask one team to read the two words and do the action one by one.3. Ask one child to the front and stand beside me and say: Look I am tall. He is short. Ask two children to the front. One is tall. Another is short. Then, ask: who is tall? Who is short? Show the pictures of a giraffe and a cat and ask: Which one is tall? Which one is short?用反差较大的动物卡片来呈现big, small, long, short等词,让学生直观感受词汇的含义。Step 4 Text learning.1. Ask the children to open their books on page 32 and let them to look at the pictures of acitivity 1. Then, ask: What are these? What are the birds talking? What happened then?2. Play the tape and ask the children to listen and point.3. Play the tape again and ask the children to listen and repeat.4. Ask the children to look at the pictures of acitivity 2. then, ask: 1) Where are Amy and Lingling? Talk about the second picture: 2) What are these? These snakes are long. Those snakes are short. Play the tape and ask the children to listen and point, then, listen and repeat.5. Talk about the third picture: What are these? These giraffes are tall. The girls are short. Play the tape and ask the children to listen and point, then, listen and repeat.6. Talk about the fourth picture: What are these? The elephants are very big. The girls are short. Yes they are. /No, they arent.学生看图片,复习之前学过的形容词。学生结合动物和这些形容词操练。Are they big? Yes they are. /No, they arent.游戏教学能极大地调动学生学习英语的积极性。并且能很大地帮助学生更快地掌握句型。运用真实的教具,及动作教学形象生动的再现了教学内容,学生学得比较直观。Step 3Lets chant.Step 3.课文教学:(1)Observe the page 35 activity one, what animals can you see.
