Show some pictures of the me and my friends Let Ss look at the pictures and ask them what they are doing. Students review the usage of present continuous tense and learn the new words and expressions about weather with the help of the pictures. 2. Look at the pictures in 1a. Then read the new words on the right. Ask the Ss to match the words with pictures. Check the answers. StepIII. Listening 1. Look at the city names in the box in 1b. Ss read the cities after the teacher. 2. Play the recording. Ask Ss to write the name of the city in the picture of its weather. Play again if necessary. At last, check the answers.Step VI. Guessing gameLet student guess the weather just seeing a little of each picture and see which group can guess the most.StepV. Solitaire game1Show some pictures about weather signs.2. Show a map of China and the weather in different cities. Let students play a Solitaire game in groups to practice the sentence structures “How is the weather?Its”.StepVI.
