Unit 5Why do you like pandas?Oral Presentation for Period 4 Section B 2b-2c一、 教材分析七年级(下)第五单元主要内容是围绕“动物”展开话题,主要介绍了各种动物的特征,让学生学习我们常见动物的名称和学习用一些简单的形容词来描述这些动物。这节课是第五单元的第4课时,是一堂阅读课,所学内容主要是与我们的生活息息相关的动物-大象。文章介绍了泰国大象的现状以及造成这一现状的原因,在引出面对这一现状我们应该怎么办,列出了一系列保护大象的措施。本文的思路清晰,逻辑性强并且与我们生活息息相关,能够引起学生的学习兴趣,激发学生的学习动机。有利于激发学生热爱动物,学会与动物和谐相处和保护生态平衡的思想感情,有助于增强学生学英语的兴趣和对动物的更加热爱,从而培养学生保护动物的意识,也有助于提高学生的英语学习综合运用能力。二、.教学目标:A.knowledge aims: (1)掌握重点词汇:save, flag, forget, place, water, danger, cut, down, tree, kill, over; (2)理解短文中出现的短语:students from Thailand, save the elephants, one of Thailands symbols, walk for a long time, places with food and water, be in great danger, cut down, kill elephants for their ivory.B.ability aims: (1)能运用不同的阅读策略完成不同的阅读任务,能回答相关问题,从而理解短文大意。(2)能运用所学句型、词汇,利用思维导图和课文内容,介绍大象的特点;并能运用所学,口头介绍其他动物,从而激发学生关爱动物的情感,学会与动物和谐相处和保护生态平衡的思想感情。三、重难点1.教学重点:从语篇角度把握文章,掌握文章的基本结构。重点短语:one of Thailands symbols, walk for a long time, places with food and water, kill elephants for their ivory2.教学难点:理解文中的重点短语:one of Thailands symbols, walk for a long time, places with food and water, kill elephants for their ivory四、教学方法及手段:(1)采用“任务型”教学方法,将对文章的理解任务分解成一个个具体可操作的小任务,有明确的目的和可操作性。 (2)分层次教学,课堂活动的设计应由简到繁,循序渐进,让每个层面的学生都能够积极参与。 (3)利用多媒体课件和音乐等教学辅助工具指导学生学习,调动学生积极性和学习动机。五、教学程序Step 1:Lead-in. 1. Play a song about animals in the zoo.(调动学生学习兴趣,将学生注意转到动物上来) 2. Lead in the topic with a question:There are a lot of animals in great danger, do you know what are they?(引入濒危动物这个话题,调动学生兴趣,激发学习动机。)Step 2:Pre-reading.1.
