Introduction1.Review the Linking verb+adjective .The teacher asks the students to translate phrases with the linking verbs and adjectives they have learned in Section A and B. 2.Listen a song .(1)The teacher plays the music of the classic song of The Sound of Music, Do Re Mi to lead the passage of 1a. (2)The teacher lets the students read the words in the box of 1a and guess the main idea of the text.Step2. Presentation1.Let the student listen to 1a and complete the table.While listening ,please pay attention to the pronunication and the tone .2.Let students read 1a carefully and answer the following questions.(1)Who are the important roles(角色) in the movie?(2)Why did Maria go to the Von Trapp family?(3)What happened to the family?(4)Why did the father often become angry?(5)How did Maria cheer up the family?(6)What do you think of Maria?Step3. Consolidation1.The teacher asks the students to read through the passage and find out the linking verb+ adjective structure.2.The teacher asks the students to find out the difficult points and sum up the main points of the passage.3.The teacher makes a summary to explain key points and difficult points to the students.4.The teacher asks the students to read the whole passage in groups, making sure everyone can read through the passage.Step 4.
