Warming-up Guess: Where is it? There is a place in Zhejiang. Show Ss some sentences, and guess its our lovely hometown -Xiangshan. Presentation1.Show some pictures of some famous places of interest in Xiangshan. Say:Xiangshan is a special place. Every year, lots of visitors from different places come to Xiangshan. These days, three special visitors come here. Show pictures. Who are they? Do you know? Yes, they are President Obamas family. They come to visit China. They also come to Xiangshan. After travelling many places in Xiangshan, they are tired and hungry. So they go to Xiangshan International Hotel to have some food. For Americans, what do they often have before dinner? Yes, they often have some salad. What is salad made of? Let Ss answer: vegetables and fruit.2.Show some pictures of vegetables and fruit on the screen. Teach cabbage, onion, eggplant, etc. 3. T:I like strawberries and tomatoes. So I like strawberry and tomato salad. Practice with other salad.4. Show Ss a menu, including chicken. Teach: meat. Ask: What other meat do you know?
