几何图形在英语教学中的运用婺源县高砂中学洪路煌在英语教学中，知识迁移对学生能否更好地掌握和灵活运用所学知识十分重要，教师可通过多种途径和方法，逐步培养和提高学生的知识迁移能力，使学生在学习和应用中能够举一反三、触类旁通。在英语教学中，有些相似词的区别是比较困难的,但我们如果运用数学中的几何图形来加以区分理解,那就容易多了。这也正是我们所倡导的知识迁移。我在十几年的英语教学过程中，收集了一小部分，仅供大家参考。1、over， across， through三个介词都表示“通过、穿过”的意思，但通过的位置是不同的。over (从事物的上空通过)across （从事物的表面通过）through （从事物的内部通过）eg: (1)The plane flew over a line of mountains in the southeast.(2)Be careful while walking across the street.(3)Walk through the gate and youll see the rest room.2、in ，on， to 三个介词表示方位时in (表示两地是所属关系)on （表示两地是相接壤的）to（表示两地是相离的）eg:(1)Shanghai is in the east of China.(2)Korea is on the east of China.(3)Japan is to the east of China .3、since ,for 接时间时since +（接时间点）for + （接时间段）eg:(1) He has studied English since 2007.(2) I have been learning English for over 20 years.4、into, out of , onto into (由外到内的过程)out of （由内向外的过程）onto（到某物的表面上）eg:(1)He jumped into the river and saved the child.(2)The children pulled the boat out of the water .(3)He dropped his bottle onto the ground and left away without saying anything.5、in front of , in the front of 表方位时in front of (表示在某物的前面)in the front of （表示在某物的前部）eg:(1)There is a big tree in front of our classroom.(2)There is a blackboard and a teachers desk in the front of the classroom.6、borrow , lend borrow （从某人那里借来某物）（从某处那里借来某物）lend （把某物借给借出去）eg:(1)I borrowed some interesting story books from the library.(2)He lent his dictionary to me .7、before long（不久之后） , long before （很久以前）这两词组学生极易混淆，意思模糊不清，我根据字母b的形状设为，根据long 的发音设为，得出图形before long （不久之后）long before （很久以前）eg:(1)The woman found her lost child before long with the policemans help.(2)Our environment was very beautiful long before, but it is a serious problem now.8、nearly, mostly两个副词的区别。nearly 表示“几乎，差一点”，mostly表示“绝大部分地”,用图形区分如下：nearly (离目标杆差一点) mostly（整体中的绝大部分）eg:(1)Be careful!
