Warm-up1.Greet the class.2.Free talk.Ask the students to talk about four questions below: 1)What did you do last weekend? 2)What do you usually do on weekends?3)Do you like watching TV?4)Whats your favorite TV show?Step 2. Presentation1.Discussion.Lead the students to discussion the topic of “How many kinds of TV shows do you know?”2. Words study.Show some pictures on the screen and teach some new words.3. Memory game.Ask the students to guess what the words are according to the pictures.Step 3. Practice1.Matching game. Ask the students to match the TV shows with the pictures in activity 1a.2. Listen and number.Lead the students to listen to the tape and number the shows 1-4 in the order they hear them in activity 1b.3. Par work.Show some pictures of programs on the screen and teach the students the expressions:“What do you think of .?”“I love .” “I like.” “I cant stand .” “I dont like .” “I dont mind .” After that, ask the students to work in pairs and talk about the opinions of different programs using the structures above.Step 4. Consolidation1. Listening task.Ask the students to listen to Lin Hui and Sallys conversation. And number the TV shows 1-5in the order they hear them in activity 2a, and then to complete the sentences in activity 2b.2.Pair work.Let the students work in pairs and make conversations using the information in the listening task. Then invite some pairs to role-play their conversations.Step5. Summary1. Summarize and review the language points in this class.2. Do some exercises for consolidation.Step6.
