You can talk freely.Step 2.Lead in Show the students some pictures about Malaysia.Say:Jane and her family went to Malaysia for a holiday. Please guess :Where did they go? What did they do?While reading:Step 3.PresentationTeach the students how to skim. Then give them two questions: (2b) 1.Did Jane have a good time on Monday? 2.What about on Tuesday? Give them only one minute to read the text and finish the questions. Then check the answers.Step 4.PresentationTeach the students how to scan. Then show the students the chart. Ask the students to read the text again and complete the chart (2c). Then check the answers.Step 5.TeamworkTeach the students how to do intensive reading. Then divide the students into four groups. Ask each group to find out the language points. Then ask each group to report. At last play the computer to find the missing if they have.After reading:Step 6. PracticeSay I think you know what happened to Jane. Now Please Complete the conversation about Janes trip to Penang using the information in the diary entries (2d) .Say: Compare two vacations, Jane didnt have a great day on Tuesday, So she went there with her father again. Please read the diary in 2e and fill in blanks.Step 5.Exercise Show some exercise. Ask the students to do them one by one.Step 6.
