Why?Give the Ss an example. Then ask them to say their answers. Help the Ss when necessary. Step 2 Reading (Unit 4, SectionB, 3a) 3a Ss read the article about Greenwood Park. Fill in the blanks with the correct superlative forms of adjectives and adverbs in the box. Ask the Ss to do it first, then check the answers together with the Ss. Pay attention to the superlative degree. Answers: the best, the fastest, the most crowded, the most creative, the most quietly. Step 3 Mind map Draw a mind map for the article in 3a with te Ss by asking the question: Why does the writer go to Greenwood Park on weekends? Ask answer together. - To meet friends - To see street performaers - enjoy the time quietly - read or relax - Something for everyone Get the Ss to find out the three parts of the article. Ss learn to divide their own articles into three parts properly. Step 4 Writing Conception 1. Mind map 2. Key words, phrases and sentences 3. Three parts - Beginning, Body part and Ending Expression I like English (best). My favorite subject is English. Of all the subjects, I like English best. Teach the Ss t oexpress the same thing in different ways. Correction 1. Put the words in each sentence in the right order. e.g. I very much like English. (X) I like English very much. 2. Grammar mistakes e.g. He like play opiano. (X) He likes playing / to play the piano. 3. Punctuation marks, big and small letters e.g. we have Ebglish every day, (X) We have English every day. Ask the Ss in groups 1,3 5,7 to say what they are going to write about their school to their deskmates. The Ss in groups 2,4, 6, 8 listen carefully and then repeat their partners article. They should draw a mind map to help them. Step 5 Practice Give the Ss some time to write about their favorite places on weekends. Ss try to write a different article from the ones in class. Ss check their work and then read the articles to other Ss. Summary How to write a good article. “Practice makes perfect”. So we should do more parctice about writing to improve our writing skills. 二、作业布置: Ss write their favorite places. Why? 四、教学反思:本节课是八年级上第四单元的写作课程,目的是教会学生用形容词或副词的最高级描写自己心目中做好的一个地方、一位朋友或其他物品。本节课主要让学生掌握如何绘制思维导图,还要让学生感受到思维导图对写作的帮助,让学生在思维导图的指导下去进行写作前的准备工作;还要教会学生在写作前考虑好即将使用的关键词、短语和句型;文章三段的分布的方法及注意事项。在写作时,教会学生如何用最恰当的语言表达自己的想法,努力做到与众不同。完成写作后,教会学生修改的三个步骤:第一,注意单词在句子中的排列顺序,不能颠倒或按汉语习惯排列;第二,查找简单的语法错误,如:主谓一致问题、固定搭配是否准确等;第三,句子开头大写是否注意到位、句子末尾的标点是否恰当。这些都要让学生在课堂中去体验着完成。同伴互助环节进行的比
