Ss can master the words about music, such as pop, rock and country music. 2. Ss can master the skills of skimming and scanning, and precisely find the answers. 3. Ss can master how to summarize, and write a summary according to the mind map.Teaching thinking:1. How to stimulate Ss learning interest and combine with the times, and highlight the influence of country music.2. How to summarize and make Ss get ready for writing a summary.Problems solving:1. Ss play a guessing game at the beginning of the class, then Treasure Hunt, and enjoy a song Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift at the end of the class.2. From skimming to scanning and from the whole text to details, Ss enhance the understanding of the text. And through group cooperation and the mind map, Ss learn how to summarize.Emotional aims:Through the story of Sarah whose life was changed by a country music song, Ss know more about country music, which can increase their cultural accumulation and broaden their horizons.Important points:To train Ss to master the reading skills of skimming and scanning.Difficult points:To lead Ss to summarize the text by the key information and the mind map.2. Idea Designing:This section is about country music, which Ss can fully comprehensive the text with the training of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Its teaching aims are to make Ss master the reading skills of skimming and scanning, and learn how to summarize. This section includes two parts. The first part is mainly about listening, speaking and reading, while the second part is to further explore the teaching aims by group cooperation and writing.3.
