P422.3You can never know whats possible unless【教学难点】 How to retell the story, learn the adverbial clause Learn to understand a story in different ways.【教学方法】PWP method, task-based method and interactive approach【教学手段】A tape recorder, multimedia and some pictures【教学过程】Teaching Procedures:Step 1.Greeting and revision T: What problem did YuGong have? What was Yu Gong going to do? What happened next?Step 2.Listening Help students finish 2a and 2b by listening .Then check the answers.Step 3.Exercise Listen to the conwersation again. Show a summary of Yu Gongs story , ask students to fill in the story .After that , call out some students to retell the story.Step 2 Lesding in Ask :What do you think of the story ? What do you yhink of YuGong ?Let student discuss these questions . Then answer the questions say as much as possible.Step 3质疑释疑1 What do you think about? “你怎么看待?” 。2.find a good way to do sth. “找到很好的办法去做” 。3. a little bit “有几分,一点”;用作副词,用来修饰形容词、副词以及动词,充当状语。4. work hard “努力工作” 。5. keep doing sth. “坚持做” 。6. give up“放弃”;give up to do sth. 放弃去做(还未做);give up doing sth. 放弃正在做的事(已经做) 。7. agree with sb. “同意某人”。8. instead of “而不是”。Step 4 Oral Output 口语输出 Activity 2d Wang Ming , Claudia and their teacher talk about their ideas about Yu Gong .1. T can guide Ss to understand the whole conversation. T can play the recording for Ss to listen and repeat. Read the conversation in roles.2. T can encourage Ss to read the conversation alone and find out the answers to the following questions such as,Q1: What do Wang Ming and Claudia think about the story of Yu Gong?Q2: Do you think it is a good way to solve the problem?Q 3: What could Yu Gong do instead of moving the mountain?Q 4: What does the teacher think of their ideas?3. Get Ss to share their answers and check the answers together.Step 5. Role -play the conversation Ask student to role -play the conversation .Then read and understand the conversation .
