The students find out which country it is.Tell the students that we are going to travel to Singapore. The teacher is the guide and the students are tourists. The tourists are divided in four groups to compete. Ask them what things they want to know about Singapore.Step 2 Presentation1 Show the students the reading strategy ”making notes”, and invite them to get the main ideas of each paragraph after reading the passage.2 Show the students a map to know the location of Singapore. Then read paragraph 1 and answer the questions.3 Ask the students to read paragraph 2 to find the Chinese food and new food in Singapore.4 Choose the most popular place “the Night Safari” to visit. Read paragraph 3 to find out why the zoo is so special, and fill in the blanks.5 Ask the students when is the best time to visit Singapore. Read paragraph 4 to correct the wrong sentences on the screen. 6 Play a game to check what we have learned about Singapore. The group who gets the most points is the winner.Step 3 Consolidation Tell students Lu Han wants to travel on vacation. Then Students have to make a group work. They should write a letter to introduce your hometown or a place to Lu Han.
