In addition to holding the latches, be prepared to support the SP to avoid dropping it.1Remove any cables (fibre optic, expansion, LAN, SPS) that are attached to the component.TipLabel the cables, so that you will know where to reconnect them.2Locate the left and right latches. (Orange tabs cover the latches.)3Pinch the latches and pull them to the sides to eject the module from the chassis.4Pull the module straight out and place it on a static-free surface.Removing the SP top cover1Press the blue button on the cover and push it back a 1/4 inch.2Lift the cover up.Removing the I/O module from the failed SPNoteYou will install this I/O module on the replacement SP module.1Lift the blue latch carefully until it ejects the module from the connector.2Lift the module out and away from the canister.Installing the I/O module on the new SP moduleNoteInstall the I/O module that you removed from the failed SP module.1Angle the module slightly to fit it into the canister and align it with the blue alignment pins.CautionDo not attempt to seat the I/O module into the CPU connector while you are holding the I/O module at an angle. Doing so will damage the connections. The I/O module should be laying flat before you attempt to seat the connection.3With the module aligned and parallel to the CPU board, press the latch down to fully seat the module in the connector.Replacing theSP top cover1Align the cover tabs with the notches in the canister.2Slide it forward 1/4 inch until the tab secures the cover.Installing the new DPE-AX storage processor (SP)NoteMake sure the latches are pulled out and kept in the open position.1Align the SP module with the enclosure opening and push it straight in.The latches begin to close when they contact the chassis edges.2Close the right and left latches to fully seat the SP in the enclosure.An audible click indicates that the latches are secure.3Reconnect the cables that you removed.Verifying the operation of a new or replaced part1In the navigation pane, underView, clickComponents2Scan the list of components to verify that all components are recognized and working properly.Returning the failed par
