Ive recently bought Quantum of Solace, in which Daniel Craig plays the part of Bond. Its a great movie. All the actors whove played James Bond have been great, but Daniel Craig, whos made lots of other films, plays the part better than any of them. Even though he doesnt talk very much,I think hes the most perfect actor for the role. He even does a few of the more dangerous things in the film himself, instead of getting someone else to do them. I did wonder sometimes in the film whether hed be clever enough to defeat the bad peoplebut Im not going to tell you the ending! The actress who stars with Craig gives a fantastic performance tooI loved all the stylish clothes she wore! The director probably had a hard job making this film as full of action as earlier ones. But the excitement starts right at the beginning here, with a car crash along a mountain road, and plenty of other thrilling scenes. Unfortunately I found the story difficult to follow sometimes, and it also seemed to be over very quicklyit lasted under two hours. I also felt there werent as many jokes as in the old Bond films. And where was all the ridiculous Bond equipmentthe underwater car or exploding watch that everyone laughed at? This is a more serious, darker Bond film, but I still really enjoyed it.第二部分阅读理解(共两节,满分40分)第一节(共15小题;每小题2分,满分30分)阅读下列短文,从每题所给的A、B、C和D四个选项中,选出最佳选项。AJust a couple of hours ago, I was on the plane, ready to fly home from London. The flight had been delayed by a few hours so it felt good to be so close to takeoff. I had my iPod in place and a new book to read. Then, over the loudspeaker came the pilots voice:“The ground crew has found a metal instrument in one tire. We regret that we must cancel this flight.”The passengers reactions that announcement led to were interesting. One man close to me began to argue with a flight attendant. A couple in another row complained loudly. A businessman in a black suit actually kicked the seat in front of him. Yet some passengers responded differently. An elderly gentleman smiled as he helped others take their bags down from the overhead compartments. A teenager, rather than trying to rush off the plane like most of the other passengers, stopped to help a woman with a disability. The lady sitting next to me laughed and said:“Hey, its not the end of the world,” before she made a call to her kids and shared her adventure with them. The wisest among us have a remarkable ability to maintain grounded when times get tough. No life is perfect; mine certainly isnt. We all must face challenges, both large and small. You and I have the power to choose to rise above the external circumstances. We always have the choice to be strong and kind when things fall apart.Thats grace under pressure. The new rules draw wide concern.Mundine is Prime Minister Tony Abbotts top advisor on issues concerning Aboriginals, native Australians. “Now, I know the government needs some necessary measures but I think punishing the parents is really the last choice. ” Mr. Mundine says the situation can be changed if the tribal leaders support education. “We need to work with parents and communities because we are making a huge cultural change here. ” But other officials say they believe the threat of stopping aid will force families to take education more seriously. The State of Southern Australia says it has special programs for Aboriginal children. The students work with their parents and teachers first to develop a personal learning plan and the public schools provide special workers to work individually with Aboriginal students. At the age of seven, Aboriginal students can join a program called Enter for Success designed to attract students to school. The students can choose which high school to attend and receive support in reaching the goals on their individual learning plans.
