单元 Scientists at work 的第三 课时 Reading 本单元的设计与实施是建立在学生经过高一上半学期新教材学习基础之上 学 生已经逐步的适应了在活动与任务中学习英语以及如何处理语言知识与活动开 展的关系 并且 他们也已经形成并培养了一定的小组合作学习及自主学习的 能力 我说课的内容包括三部分 一是教材分析 二是教法学法分析 三是说教 学程序 一 教材分析 1 单元背景分析 随着科学技术的发展 各种各样新的发明和发现都层出不穷 生活在这样 一个知识爆炸的年代 学生们更应用心去体会并感受科技和发明创造者给生活 带来的变化 进而能联想到他们平时所学的学科及知识 并用英语为媒介进行 知识的整合与串联 同时从另一个角度来说 科技进步的同时 我们的社会也 产生了各种各样的矛盾与争论 因此如何正确的看待或处理这些问题 也成为 广大学生应该了解并掌握的知识 通过学习伟人的事迹 走近科学家的精神世 界 学习科学家为寻求真理的献身精神 求是精神 树立向上的学习和生活态 度 培养学生高尚的情操 2 教材内容分析 本课是高中一年级英语下册 unit 16 Scientists at work 中的 Reading 本单元的中心话题是 science and scientists 话题依附于听力 对 话 阅读与写作等语言载体中 本单元的话题内容与学生的日常学习有着密 切的关系 应该说是以英语为媒体让学生表达他们对平时理化生等理科课程 特别是相关实验 所想到及感受到的内容 因此 尽管本单元的话题对学生 而言有着一定的难度 但却有体现出了以学生为中心 贴近学生生活而又富 有时代气息的特点 ReadingReading 讲述的是科学家 Franklin 著名的风筝实验 从而证明 Lighting and electricity are the same 的故事 学生在理解文章的基础 上 能充分感受到实验对于科学工作的重要性及科学家是如何获得事业上的 成功的 并了解作为一个科学家应具备的品质 同时能落实材料中所出现的 一些单词与短语的使用 本课时主要分为三部分 1 Pre reading 读前准备 读前 部分是 Reading 的前奏 要求学生填出所学理科课程领域 18 世纪和 19 世纪的重要发现并阐释其之所以重要的理由 同时 还提醒学 生回忆自己曾做过的一次科学实验及其感受 以便于学习阅读部分的福 专心 爱心 用心2 兰克林的实验 2 Reading 阅读 阅读 部分详细描述了富兰克林所进行的一次科学实验 在电闪雷鸣 时放飞风筝以验证闪电和电的关系 文中详细记述了富兰克林实验的目 的 材料 过程 注意事项和所得结论 通过该篇文章的学习 学生要 学会如何描述实验过程 这一点非常实用 并学习富兰克林对科学的 执着 探究精神 3
