范度森植物园游客中心设计单位：Perkins+Will建筑事务所位置：加拿大 温哥华竣工：2011年分类：建筑实景照片 - 公共设施场地面积：17000平方米建筑面积：1765平方米 这是由Perkins+Will建筑事务所设计的范度森植物园游客中心项目，这个项目需要满足最苛刻的可持续要求，即Living Building Challenge。形式上和功能上它都要包含生态及社会意识的设计。建筑其实就是一个起伏的景观，包含交织的从地上升起到屋顶的室内室外空间，这些结构为种植多种植物提供巨大空间，建筑与景观在此交融。建筑同时包含多种被动及主动的能源系统，它们重新利用场地的可回收资源和建筑自身排放的垃圾。这个建筑的形式是建筑与景观之间的平衡，它包含起伏的绿色屋顶，它们漂浮在堆砌的土堆和混凝土墙壁上，这些设计元素受到当地果园形象的启发。屋顶和首层板面通过种植着植物的斜坡连接，这是一个自然生长的绿色屋顶。建筑充当植物园的社区中心，包含咖啡厅，图书馆，志愿者设施，花园商店，办公室，还有供会议，工作室，讲座及一些私人功能所用的教室。Perkins+Wills VanDusen Botanical Garden Visitor Centre in Vancouver， BC is designed to meet the Living Building Challenge， the most rigorous set of requirements of sustainability. Formally and functionally， it encompasses the goals of environmentally and socially conscious design. The building is an undulating landscape of interior and exterior spaces rising from ground to roof level and providing a vast surface area on which vegetation could grow， thus reoccupying the land on which the building sits with the landscape. The building also features numerous passive and active systems that reuse the sites renewable resources and the buildings own waste. The form of the Visitor Centre finds a balance between architecture and landscape composed of “undulating green roof petals that float above rammed earth and concrete walls”， inspired by a native orchid. The roof and ground plane are connected by ramps that promote vegetation a self-made green roof.
