Greet the students in everyday English. Make sure they can response in correct way.2. Check the homework.Step 2 PresentationAsk the students some questions :1.Have you ever visited Tiananmen Square? If yes, when? If no, why not?2.Do you want to visit Tiananmen Square? Why or why not?You may give them some words to help themStep 3 Listen and answer Listen to the tape and answer these questions:1.Can Jenny fly a kite?2. Can Danny fly a kite?3. What happens to Danny?Step 4 Listen, read and actListen to the audiotape again and let the students read after it. Give them a few minutes to practice the text. Correct the pronunciation when necessary. Ask each group to make up a dialogue about walking on Tiananmen Square. Encourage the students to use as much vocabulary as possible from this unit (easy, hard, loudly, quietly, many, men, women, children, people). Encourage the students to be active and praise them for talking risks with English! The more they experiment, the more they learn.
