Teaching stepsStep Warming-up1, Sing the song “Old MacDonald has a farm” in Lesson 3.2, Play “Simon says” game.3, Free talk.Step Presentation1,Show on the screen a picture of “a bed” and say “bed” .Then ask the class to follow. Repeat some times.2, Teach “chair、doll、box” following the same steps.3, Write the words on the Bb and ask the class to repeat. Then get the Ss to read fast one by one.4, Holding a pupils book, say “Your book is new, but my book is old.” Then write “my” on the Bb. Ask the class to read after me.5, Play “Whats missing” game.6, Put a pen in a pencil-box and the pencil-box on the teachers desk. Say “My pen is in the pencil-box and the pencil-box is on the desk”. Then write “in the pencil-box and on the desk” on the Bb. Ask the pupils to read after me and repeat.Step Pattern drills and dialogue teaching1, Put my book in a pupils desk , then pretend to look for it and say“Where is my book?”Help the pupils to answer“ Its in the desk.”2, Practise with the pen and the pencil-box on the teachers desk. First, Teacher asks and the pupils answers, then the boys ask and the girls answer, at last the girls ask and the boys answer.Step Practice1,Show on the screen a picture, in which, there is a desk, on the desk, there is a pencil-box, in it is a pen; in the desk is a book; near the desk, there is a chair, on it is a ball and a bag and in the bag is a pencil-box.Work in pairs, and then act out the dialogue in front of the class.2, Play a gameAsk two pupils to come to the front of the classroom. One pupil asks “Where is my ?” ,and the other pupil guess “Is it in/ on? ” . If guess rightly ,the other pupils in class say “Yes”, otherwise say “No” .Step Dialogue teaching1, Play the tape. The pupils listen and answer the question “Where is my doll?”. 2, Show on the screen the dialogue on Pages 16-17 in Lesson 4. The pupils read it out in different roles.3, Ask the pupils to make some new dialogues, which contain what we have learnt. For example:A: Hello! B: Hello! A: Where is my pen? B: What colour is it ?A: It is black.B: Is it new?A: Yes.B: Look! Its there in the book.A: Oh, yes, thank you!
