Section B (2a-2c) 教学设计:教学目标 1、知识目标: 1). 掌握本课单词: save, flag, forget, place, water, danger, cut, down, tree, kill, over2). 重点短语:get lost, be in (great) danger, cut down, (be) made of, one of, 2. 能力目标:1).快速阅读和归纳语篇信息的能力2). 构建思维导图的阅读策略。 3. 情感目标:了解大象在泰国的相关文化和大象的现实处境,唤起学生珍惜并保护濒危动物的意识。教学重难点1. 教学重点:本课中的重点词汇2. 教学难点:进行阅读训练,来培养学生们的综合阅读能力。教学过程Step1 Warmingupandleadingin 1.Review:aguessing game Show the students a picture of an animal, and then guess: T: Whats this? (Its a panda.)T: Do you like it?( yes, I do.) T: Why? (Because its smart.)T: But do you know its in great danger? 2. Check the animals that you think are in great danger in 2a, then report.【教学设计意图】通过猜动物的游戏,激发学生的兴趣, 把学生引入英语学习的氛围中。一方面复习描述动物的形容词,另一方面引导学生思考那些动物处境濒危,为进一步学习奠定基础。Step2 Presentation 1. Tell the students that elephants are in great danger, too. Then, talk about where elephants are from. And they are important in Thailand.2. Elephants are smart animals. They can do many things. 3. Elephants are in great danger because people cut down many trees and kill them for ivory. 4. We should save the elephants. 【教学设计意图】图片教学法是呈现新知识最简单有效的方法之一。学生通过图片学习本课重要词汇及句型,为阅读活动扫清学习障碍。Step3 Reading.1. ListeningLead in the website article, and then listen for the best title for it(Lets Save the Elephants.).Show the students the learning strategy: “Listen and get the key words”.【教学设计意图】通过听的任务既可以检测学生对新知的理解和接受程度,又可以训练学生的听力技能。2. Fast reading Lets read the article carefully and match the main idea with each paragraph. Tell them the reading strategy: “Pay attention to key words and topic sentences.” Para 1-Elephants are important in Thailand.Para 2-What can elephants do?Para 3-Why are elephants in danger and how can they save them?【教学设计意图】整体把握阅读文章大意,指导学生运用“找关键词和主题句”的阅读策略完成阅读任务,培养学生的阅读技能。3. Retelling Retell the article according to the mind-map in 2c.【教学设计意图】通过复述任务,检测学生对课文的掌握情况,培养学生的口头输出能力。Step 4.Affective educationAs we all know, elephants are in great danger. One reason is that people cut down too many trees so they are losing their homes.However, many other animals in the world are in danger, too. So we should try our best to protect them. Can you tell me what we should do? (Students answer together) . Say:Animals are our friends. No trading, no killing.
