Is Center Street far from here?Ss: Ss read the conversations after the recording.Then practice conversation again with partners.设计意图:着重训练学生看图说话和分角色表演对话的能力,让学生能把学到的语言知识有效输出。Step 2 Grammar focus T: Review the grammar box.Ss: Ss say the questions and answers and circle these words in the grammar focus section of their books: such as: on, across from, next to, between.and. 设计意图:通过训练强化语法学习,突出where和there be句型以及描述事物的所在位置的介词和介词短语。Step 3 Work on 3a.Look at 3a, pay attention to the questions in the box.T: Ask students to read it out loud.Ss: Learn by heart the following phrases, write them down on the book.1)in the neighborhood在附近地区 2)go straight 直走3)turn left 向左转 4)turn right 向右转5)on the left 在左边 6)on the right在右边Ss: Ss work in pairs. Ask and answer according the picture and the questions. T: Get the students to write three complete sentence according the picture3a. Make sure that they write sentences using prepositions of place. Encourage everyone to write as much as they can。Ss: Check each other and communicate. Guessing gameTell them how to play this game. Call them to take turns to choose a place in the picture in 1a on page 43. Their classmates ask questions and then guess the place. Ss: Do the exercises.设计意图:通过检测,提高的学生做题能力,以学评教, 强化落实。发挥学生的主动性,让生教生,教师只适时点拨.五、拓展延伸T: 1.Ask students to sum up what they have learned.Ss: Ss summarize what they have learned.Homework: You must:1.Remember the sentences in the Grammar focus.2. 用所学的介词描述在你所在地周围这些场所的位置。post office, police station, school, bus stationIf you can:3.A foreigner just got off the bus. He dont know how to get to Tai erzhuang Ancient Town. Please make a conversation with him and tell him the way to Tai erzhuang Ancient Town.
