Talk about past events; 2.Tell a story.主要渗透了本单元语法:过去进行时。二、 学情分析 八年级学生有一定的阅读能力,但缺乏阅读的策略,阅读的方式很单一,学生只能“读”,而不能有效的提取有用的信息。另外,学生“怕”出现生单词,猜词的方法欠缺。三、教学目标(一)、知识目标:1. Vocabulary:storm ,wind, light, report, area, wood, window, flashlight, match, beat, against, asleep, fall asleep, die down, rise, fallen, break apart2. Phrases:feel like in a mess fallen trees broken windows break apart(二)、能力目标:让学生了解泛读和精读的技巧,培养快速获取文章信息的能力,阅读后能快速反应完成相应的任务。能复述文章的大意。(三)、情感目标:通过体会主题句Although the storm broke many things apart, it brought families and neighbors closer together. 培养学生困难时刻相互帮助,团结协作,乐于助人,积极向上的精神品质。四、教学过程:(一)Lets watch the video, talk about the rainstorm.(play the video.)T: What did you see in the video before the rainstorm? S1: (学生可以用汉语描述,教师用英语解释。)T: What did you see in the video after the rainstorm? S2: (学生可以用汉语描述,教师用英语解释。)T: The rainstorm is very terrible. However, The rainstorm happens a lot in America. Many people lost their homes even their lives. Luckily, after the rainstorm, people often help each other and rebuild their new homes.(板书并跟读两次:The storm brought people closer together.)【设计意图】通过视频感受暴风雨的威力,暴风雨带来的危害。暴风雨后,人们相互帮助,共度难关。从而引出本节课的主题,The storm brought people closer together.同时感受新单词。(二)Now lets learn new words.T: Play the PPT. Look at the pictures and learn new words.1. strong winds / black clouds / light 2. a piece of wood / some pieces of wood 3.flashlight 4. candlea candle/ two candles 5. matchmatches 6. radio 7. fall asleep 8. riserose-rising 9. fallen trees 10. broken windows【设计意图】通过图片学习新单词,图文结合,形象简洁,简单易记,提高记忆效率。(三)Read the passage and complete the tasks.1、Fast reading (1)Match the main idea with each paragraph. (2)Whats the topic of the passage?A boy called Ben from Alabama.
