Unit 2 Listening 教学设计授课教师:英语科何丽婷授课班级:初二(2)班授课日期:2010年9月20日 第三节【教学设计】(一)教学内容:This lesson is divided into two parts. The first part requires students to identify the objects in the picture according to different descriptions. In this part, the students can hear a dialogue which is about an old lady called Mrs. White who has missed five pieces of jewellery. After listening to the record, the students are supposed to find out the exact items from the picture. The second part is a detective story somehow related to Reading A. In this part, the students are required to put the pictures into right order after listening to the story. (二)课型:Listening(三)学情分析:Students from Class Two have a comparatively good foundation of English, but some of them are not good at listening. Therefore, in order to make the students better understand the recording, more preparation work is needed, such as introducing the new words and emphasizing the listening skills. Besides, students in Grade Eight are not as active as they did in Grade Seven, so it becomes more important to design some class activities to stimulate them and get them more involved in English study.(四)教学目标1) To develop listening abilities: skill of identifying objects according to different descriptions and skill of picture ordering.2) Important words and phrases: bracelet, necklace, ring, ruby, emerald. pearl, invite, crime, refuse , in the shape of3) To retell the story according to the given pictures(五)教学重难点重点:1) The steps of identifying objects while listening2) The steps of picture ordering3) Important new words and expressions难点:1)Help the students to identify the differences among the pictures and catch the key words and important information while listening2)Help the students to get through some difficult words or expressions and avoid getting stuck on them.3) Enable the students to retell the story with suitable expressions and correct tense.(六)教学方法:1. Revision: Remind the students of the words and expressions they learned in the last period.2. Listening skills introduction:1) Look at the pictures before listening, and get the main idea of each picture.2) Show some pictures to the students and ask them to describe each picture. In this step, some important new words and expressions will be introduced.3) Pay attention to the details and the key words, especially the words, such as pearl, emerald and ruby.4) Write down the information and take notes quickly.3. Pair work: discuss what shows on the pictures in Ex.A1. and try to tell the differences.Step 2 While-listening procedureListening A. Indentifying objects from a description1. First listening: Listen to the description of Mrs White and help her to find out which five pieces of jewellery she has missed.2. Check the answers orally.3. Guessing game: Ask some of the students to describe whichever picture they like and let the rest of the class to guess which objects they are describing. The students who try to describe the pictures and those who get the correct answers can get 2 points for their groups.Step 3 Pre-listening preparation Listening B. Getting to know more about the suspect1. Ask the students to look at the pictures first and try to guess what the people in the pictures are doing.2. Ask the students to think about a story according to the given pictures.Step 4 While-listening preparation Listening B. Getting to know more about the suspect1. Play the recording once and ask the students to order the pictures by writing the numbers 1-8 in the boxes.2. Check the answers in the form of competition.3. Read the whole text together.Step 5 Post-listening Ask the students to retell the story according to the given pictures. And remind them to use the simple past tense.(九)板书设计Listening Skills:1. Post-listening (7 mins)【教学反思】首先,整堂课的内容比较丰富,结合了听与说,兼顾了语言的输入和输出。由于本节课具有一定的难度,尤其是听力短文中有比较多生词,对学生会造成一定的困难,因此在课程的开始我着重地引入一些新单词的教学以及强调部分听力技巧,为学生后面的听做铺垫。经过铺垫后,学生在完成Listening
