To be able to understand, read Lets reads content and independently of letter writing exercise. 2. Able to complete the lets find out activity. 3. Can describe experiences on holiday. Important points and difficult points:1. Understand the letter in “Lets read”.2. To understand, read the sentences: Every day I had fun with my cousin. On Monday we went to a restaurant. Tomorrow Ill be back home. 3. Through this period of learning, inspire students to love English, love life of the good feelings.Teaching aids: Prepare a media and some pictures. Teaching procedures:Step1: Warm-up1. Free talk.T said that the verbs, Ss say the past participle. (TPR)(Review the words: taketook, learnlearned, eatate, singsang, dancedanced, climbclimbed, gowent, watchwatched, playplayed)2. Greeting.T: How is everybody? 3. Brainstorm.T: Hello! Boys and girls! I have an information show you. Lets read and find out whats wrong with it. (Let the Ss find out whats wrong with my information)( From this information, T can teaches Ss how to read the word about “restaurant”)T: Children! When was my last trip in that information? S1: Last year.T: Good! Where did I go?S2: You went to Beijing.T: Well done! What did I do?S3: You took pictures and ate Beijing duck.T: Good job. So when was your last trip? Where did you go? What did you do there?(T ask one S, let the S answer)S: I went to Hong Kong last year. () I took pictures and went shopping.()T: OK! Children! Can you do a survey with your partner?(Let the Ss do a survey with their partner, complete lets find out.)Step2: First-readingT: Look at the screen. I have two friends to introduce you. Who are they?Ss: They are John and Johnny. (Let the Ss guess “cousin” meaning)T: John flew to Johnnys home. Do you know what did John do in Johnnys home?Task1:T: OK! First you can take out your paper, read this paper silence by yourself and match the picture.(Let the Ss try to read the dialogue and match the pictures and sentences.)Step3: Second-readingTask2:T: Good job. Take out your English book, turn to page 42, try to read this passage, and judge by yourself. If you finish, you can check with your partner. (Let the Ss try to read with their partner, then judge.)Step4: Post- readingTask3:T: OK! Children, just now you had read this dialogue for two times. So I want to ask you two questions:1. Who wrote a letter to Johns mom?2. Why did he write a letter for his mom?T: OK! Lets look at the screen, Ill teach you and lets follow to the tape.T: Children. Here is blank about Johns trip, who can tell me where did John go on Monday?S1: John went to a restaurant.T: Good job. What did John do on Monday?S2: John ate good food.T: Can you finish with your partner? Can you use these sentences to ask your partner?(T let the Ss read follow the radio, then follow the T.At last, group work, fill in the blank)Task4:T: Good job! Boys and girls, just now you fill the blank with your partner, can you summary by yourself? And I have a demand, can you use these two sentences become one sentence, and write in your English book.(T let the Ss finish the sentences in the English book, Ss must do it by themselves.)Task5:T: Well done! John missed his mom and dad, how about Johnny? Did he miss his dad and mom? Ss: Yes, he did.T: So lets look at this letter, who wrote it?Ss: Johnny.T: Right. This letter had so many blank, can you help Johnny fill in the blank? Then send it to his dad.(T let the Ss fill in the blank again, Ss can do it with their group.
