Who does this project help?Its Project Hope. It helps poor students go to school.2. T: Besides poor students, there are a lot of people who need our help around us. How can we help them?Step 2. presentation1.Show some pictures to learn the new words.We should help blind people cross the road.( adj.盲的)Deaf people can talk with hand language.( adj.聋的)It is difficult for disabled people to go upstairs.(adj.残疾的)The elderly should be taken good care of.(adj.年老的)Homeless people have nowhere to live.(adj.无家可归的)Volunteers usually do meaningful things.(adj.有意义的)So we should train more volunteers to help more people.(v.训练培训)2.Free talk. How have you trained it? 你的小狗真聪明。你是怎样训练它的呢?拓展:train 作名词时,意为火车,by train 意为乘火车如:Some students go to school by train. 一些学生乘坐火车上学。2.volunteer 作名词,志愿者;作动词,志愿做,义务做. volunteer to do sth. 意为志愿做某事。如:The volunteers for community service are doing a good job. 社区服务的志愿者做得很出色。They volunteered to repair the house for the old lady. 他们主动为老太太修缮房子。3.Will you support me, Eddie? support是动词,意为支持,其名词形式supporter,支持者.如:Im your strong supporter and Ill always support you. 我是你坚定的支持者,我将一直支持你。4. Its meaningful to do sth. for sb.为某人做某事是有意义的 e.g.Its meaningful to do something for children in poor area.为贫困地区孩子做些事是很有意义的。5. want sb. to do sth. 想要某人做某事 e.g. Parents want us to study hard everyday. 6. I need some more food to eat at work. (1) need sth to do sth 需要某物来做某事e.g. I need some tools to finish the work. 我需要一些工具来完成这份工作。 (2) some more food 更多一些食物 数量意义词+more+名词: 表更多e.g. two more apples 再两个苹果 7. Homeless people dont have their own places to live. (1)homeless 形容词,意为无家可归的,其名词形式为homelessness。(2) to live:动词不定式做定语修饰前面的名词。 e.g. have something to eat 有一些吃的东西8. provide sth for sb 为某人提供某物 =provide sb. with sth. e.g. He was very poor because hed toprovidefood for seven children. 9.归纳:名词后加后-less,表示意思否定的形容词。如:loveless无爱的 endless无尽的 hopeless 没有希望的 helpless无助的 nameless无名的 voiceless无声的 colourless无色的 useless没用的 thoughtless不经思考的More exercises: I.
