Teaching importance and difficultiesThe sentence structure: What do you want to be? I want to be a/an. How are you going to do that? Im going to. Where are you going to work? Im going to work in.III. Teaching Types Speaking, listening and writingIV. Teaching Aids PPT, blackboard, an English bookV. Teaching ProceduresStep 1. Lead-in1. Review. (通过复习第五单元电影及表演,引出有关工作的英语单词。)2. Listen to a song named “Be What You Wanna be?” Ask students to try to remember the names of the jobs. 3. Ask students about other jobs they know. Say them out one by one.Step 2. Learn the new vocabulary1. Students learn to say the words with the help of pictures (通过图片学单词,直观形象,学生对单词的记忆更加深刻。)2. Show the students two sentence structures. “What are you going to be when you grow up”. Give them an example and then ask students to work in pairs. Ask each other about the questions.(通过图片中关于工作的学习,引出本课第一个句型,让学生结合刚刚学过的单词练习,加强学生对单词的记忆。)Step3. Listening practice1. Ask students to listen to the recording. Then finish the exercises one by one. (在听力的过程中,学生对所学句型及词汇反复记忆,为后面的活动积累素材。)Step4. Who is the best reporter?(Pair work)One student ask the other student about the following questions. What do you want to be when you grow up? How are you going to do that? (采访环节,让学生动起来,在玩中学,提高学习英语的兴趣。)Step5. Make a dream (Group work) Ask the group leader to fill in the chart with the answers to the questions. At last the group leader will do a report. (通过小组合作活动,让学生了解他人的理想工作,并从别人的决心中受到激励。)Step6. Moral tasks1. Ask students to read the sayings together. 2. Ask students to write down resolutions on a piece of paper. And then the group leader can stick them to the “dream tree”.(情感升华,让学生了解梦想的重要性,以及实现梦想需要付出。)VI. Summary and homework1.
