And use the present continuous tense in their daily life.Teaching aids: blackboard, PowerPoint, words cards, picturesTeaching procedure:1. It could leave them a deeper impression of the meaning of the words. Mark the “ing” red to draw students attention of the changing of the verbs and do the preparation for next step.2. And then, tell them about the rules that match the activities with pictures.Purpose: Ask them to read together to let them know what the phrases and the words are. The aim of this activity is to check if students grasp the meanings of the phrases and the words.4. 1bTime: 3minsActivity type: Practice Pupils activity: Firstly, read the names together. And then, listen to the audio and match the names with correct condition.Teacher activity: Lead the students to match the names with correct condition and check if they are right.Purpose: Check if they grasp the words and their meanings.5. Guessing gameTime: 5mins Activity type: GameContent: Firstly, showing students covered pictures and ask them “What is/are he/she/they doing?” Secondly, give them the answers after showing them the complete pictures.Purpose: Cultivate the patience of students and check if they grasp the main phrases and the words with their meanings.6. 1cTime: 5minsActivity type: Practice (pair work)Content: Ask students to ask and answer questions about what people are doing in 1a with the sentence pattern below:A: What is he doing (in pic a)? / (Look at pic a.) What is he doing?B: He isPupils activity: Do preparation for 3mins with their desk-mates and show their work to the whole class.Teacher activity: Firstly, give students a demo. Secondly, lead them to do practice and preparation. Three minutes later, ask some volunteers to show their work to the whole class.Purpose: Practice the sentence pattern and check if students grasp the sentence pattern and use it correctly.7. 2aTime: 4minsActivity type: Practice & checkContent: Firstly, ask students to read the questions and answers together. Secondly, listen and match the answers with the questions.Purpose: Ask students to read together to let them know the content. The aim of this activity is to check if they listen to the audio carefully and grasp the pronunciations of the main phrases and words.8. 2bTime: 4minsActivity type: Practice & checkContent: Firstly, ask students read together the content the will listen and ask them to pay their attention to the blanks. Secondly, listen again and fill in the blanks. Thirdly, listen again and check if they put the correct words or phrases in the blanks. 9. Drawing & askingTime: 10minsActivity type: Content: Firstly, limit the time and ask students to draw pictures in groups of four by topic below:What are your family doing?What are your friends doing?What are you doing?Secondly, group members ask the one who drew the picture “What is she/he doing in your picture?” or “What are they doing in your picture?” And then, the student who drew the picture answer the question according to the picture he drawn.Thirdly, show their works to the whole class.Purpose: To check if the grasp the knowledge weve learnt in this class and use it correctly.10.
