Good morning ladies and gentlemen,Im Ao Yiguang from Wanhe Taoyuan Junior High School. At this moment Im very pleased and excited, to be honest, a little nervous. Its a great honor to present my lesson here. My topic is Section C, Topic 2 ,Unit3,Grade9. There are eight parts in my lecture shown on the screen.Part 1 Teaching Material AnalysisThis unit relates to the world-wide language, English. In this topic the dialect in Australia and England, the body language, the differences between American English and British English and the development of the differences are involved. So this section is to connect the pre-section and the following one.Part 2 Analysis of Students StatusOur school lies in the remote countryside. Most students foundation is weak, so does the ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing. The students level varies, too. Whats more, some of them are short of active attitude and confidence to learn.Part 3 Teaching Aims1.Knowledge Aims: To learn the differences between American English and British English ,new words ,expressions and some grammar points.2.Skill Aim: To learn the reading skill -scanning.3.Emotion and Attitude Aims: To cultivate students inquiring spirit and make them accept the different accents.4.Difficult and important points important points:the differences between AE&BE, the new words and expressions as well as the reading skill.Difficult point: the differences between AE&BE.Part 4 Teaching and Learning StrategiesThe student-centered, task-based teaching strategies, situational approach, self-study and group co-operation are used in this period.Part 5 Teaching AidsA computer, a tape recorder, of course, a blackboardPart 6 Teaching ProceduresStep1 Revision Review the gestures that we learned. Have a group competition. Choose a group come to the front . The teacher shows the pictures of the gestures to other students. They read the English in the pictures. Students standing in front do the actions as they hear. The one who does wrong will go back to his her seat. I will give them some presents as rewards.Step2.Presentation Let the students listen to me first then read the following sentences and sense the differences between American English and British English.1. Do you like hot days? (Britain English) I dont like hot days, either. (American English)2. Blue is my favourite colour(BE).Whats your favorite color?( AE)3. British often fill in the form but Americans often fill out the form.Step3 Listening Let the students listen to the tape and answer the questions on the screen .1. What are the differences between British English and American English?2. When we say “relax in the sitting room” in Britain, whats the expression in America?Step4 Reading Ask the students to scan the article and finish 1b as fast as possible, then ask them to read the article carefully and find out the new words, difficult and important points. I will write them down on the blackboard and encourage them to solve the problems by themselves, after that give them additional explanations.Step5 Group work Ask the students to work in groups to finish 1C.They can use their dictionaries and reference books and encourage them to find more examples. I will give a foreigners QQ number to the best group as a prize.Step6 Consolidation Ask students to read the passage and fill in the blanks. Step7. Homework Do it as on the screen.Part7 Blackboard design As its shown on the screen.Part 8 Self evaluation I have tried my best to use different methods to realize my teaching aims according to students reali
