The Lost Filial PietyThe pace of modern life is faster and faster. All kinds of people go across streets and through buildings. They lead a busy life, they want to earn too much money, they want higher position, and they try to remember the leaders birthday to make them happy, but they all forget filial piety, which is the most important thing in life. Some people look for intimate friends in the sea of people, some people look for happiness in bars and some people look for honesty in business. However, who is looking for filial piety which has been forgotten for a long time in the busy and noisy world? Many years ago, when we were small children, we promised to our parents that we would treat them with filial piety. When we said to our parents “when I grow up , Ill buy you what you like best to eat .” in a childish voice, they would feel happy and a smile would appear on their faces.The smile made us so proud . However, time flise. Now, we have grown up. We all have our own dreams, jobs and lives.We are so busy all time that we have no time to think about quietly what we are busy doing on earth ? What have we forgotten in the busy life. Nobody will squat down quitely and watch lines of ants which will remind us many beautiful memories. We have forgotten the innocent voice, we have forgotten the beautiful wishs, and we also have forgotten the filial pietyin in our lives. Perhaps, one night when the monlight looks like pure water, we wake up from a fantastic dream. Our hearts are filled with a kind of strang sarrow which cant be understood. The moonlight comes in through the window and wraps us gently. It purifiles our soul. At the moment ,it is the fan which mother waved for us to drive mosquitoes away that appears before our eyes, instead of a delicate cottage; it is the umbrella which father held to protect us from the heavy rain that appears before our eyes, instead of a gorgeous car; it is the parents worried and loving eyes when we were ill that appear before our eyes, instead of a cold fac. The memories about fan,umbrella and eyes will be as strong as steel. They will be remembered deep into heart waiting for our gentle touching. When touched, they will overflow like flood , making our dry hearts moist. Please do seek out filial piety which has been forgotten. Even the road is hard and long, we should insist on. With your filial piety, go back to see your parents. Even if you dont buy anything , your parents will feel satisfied and happy if you can only accompany them. Do know what our parents want is the childrens company, just as the song”Go Home Often” goes . Time is crule and life is short. Once something is missed, it will never be made up.
