Section A 1a- 2d二、教材分析1. 教材内容分析和地位:本课是人教版新目标英语七年级下Unit5 Why do you like pandas?的第一课时。经过一个多学期的中学英语学习生活,学生们已经学过由why, where, what 引导的特殊疑问句,具有了学习本单元知识的认知前提,学生比较容易接收新的知识。本单元许多有关动物的信息能激发学生的好奇心,使学生产生了解 它们的强烈欲望,有利于本课的教学和学生学习兴趣的培养。2. 教学的重难点:教学重点: a.熟练用一些动物的词汇谈论自己最喜欢的动物。 b.熟练运用动物特点的形容词谈论喜欢某一种动物的原因。教学难点:a.表达动物的的词义和读音。 b.熟练运用所学知识描述动物并谈论喜欢动物的原因。3. 教学目标:1、语言知识目标: Words: panda zoo tiger elephant koala lion giraffe animal cute lazy smart beautiful scary Drills: Lets see the pandas first Why do you want to see the pandas? Because theyre cute. Why does he like the koalas? Because they are very interesting. 2、语言技能目标 a. 使学生熟练谈论自己喜爱的动物并给出理由。 b. 使学生学谈论自己喜爱的其他东西并给出理由。 3、情感目标 a.培养学生自觉保护动物的意识。 b.使学生更加热爱生活。热爱父母、热爱朋友,热爱自然。 c.能在小组活动中积极与他人合作,发扬协作精神。 4、学习策略目标:学会调动已有知识,根据情景推测句子含义. 5、文化意识目标:了解各种动物的特性。三、教学过程设计I: Before class Ask students to collect as many pictures of animals as possible and try to know some interesting information about these animals. 设计意图: 通过收集动物 相关的图片和信息,让学生体会分享的乐趣,提升学生对动物的喜爱之情。: While class Step 1 : Warming up Teacher shows parts of animals bodies by slide show. Then let students guess what kind of animals they are. (Such as tigers, elephants) 设计意图: 通过展示动物的身体部位,引起学生的兴趣,把学生引入英语学习的氛围中。 Step 2 : New words 1.Present the new words by showing the pictures of animals. 2.Learn new words together设计意图:学词汇,打基础,扫清学习障碍Step 3 :Presentation1. Ask them to talk with their partners about the animals they like using the words they know (Four students a group).What animals do you like?Why do you likeBecause theyre2. Then show the class some pictures of animals and present other animals. And ask them:Whats this in English?Its a tiger. (Then lion, panda, elephant, koala, giraffe)Ss look at the picture and try to remember the new words of the animals.3. Next, glue the pictures on the blackboard and ask one student to match the pictures with the words on the cards. Other students turn to page 25 and finish 1a.4. Check the answers with the class.Step4 :. Game (Guessing game.)T: Show some pictures on the big screen. Let Ss guess what animal it is.Ss try to guess and remember the names of the animals.Step 5 :. ListeningWork on 1b.Tell Ss to listen to the tape and check the animals they hear in 1a.Play the recording again and check the answers with the class.Step 6:. Pair work1. Ask the students to imagine “ We are in the zoo, there are many kinds of animals here.”Then ask a student to do the model with you: Lets see the lions first.Why? (why do you /does she /does he like lions?)Because they are interesting.2. Ss work with their partners practice the conversation using the animal in 1a.Step 7 :. Listening1. Work on 2a;T: Listen to the conversation carefully. Then write the names of the animals you hear on these lines.Play the recording the first time. Students only listen.Play the recording a second time. This time students write in the names of the animals.Check the answers.Point out the adjectives and countries listed on the right. Ask a student to say the words.Say, Now I will play the recording again. This time draw a line between each animal and the adjective and countries you hear.Play the recording and have students match each animal with an adjective and a country.Correct the answers.2. Work on 2bT: Listen again and complete the conversation with the words in 2a.Play the recording for the Ss to listen and write the answers.Check the answers with the class.Step8 :. Pair work1. Ask two students to read the conversation in 2b to the class.2. Ss practice the conversation in pairs.3. Then show the transcription on the big screen and practice the other two conversations in 2a.4. Ss practice the conversations in pairs.Step 9 : Role-play1. Ask Ss to look at the picture in 2d. Then Ss read the conversation in 2d and find the answers to the questions:2. Ss read the conversations and try to find the answers to the questions.Check the answers:Yes, he does.He can walk on two legs. He can dance, too.She has a cat. No, she doesnt. Because its very lazy.3. Ss work in pairs and practice the conversation.4. Let some pairs role-play the conversation.Homework:1. Remember the new words and expressions in this period.2. Role-play the conversation after class.
