Language knowledge: (1) The students will be able to understand the following words and expressions: living room, badminton, skip.(2) The students will be able to write the following sentences: Im doing my homework because I must finish my homework first; She is cleaning outside, but she doesnt like cleaning; They are playing soccer, and they really like playing it.3. Learning strategies:(1) The students will be able to look at the pictures carefully, and analyze the hidden information behind the pictures.(2) The students will be able to imitate the model passage.4. Affection:(1) The students will be able to care more about their classmates and family members through the writing.(2) The students will be able to observe pictures carefully.5. Cultural awareness:The students will be able to know the free-time activities of foreign students and family.Students Analysis: The students have already learned “present progressive tense” in the last three periods, which makes it easy for students to describe pictures with this tense. Whats more, students have learned how to write a letter in the last term, so the writing is relatively easy for them. However, some students still find it difficult to use “present progressive tense”, so the teacher must give more examples. Key Points & Difficult Points:1. ReviewLead students to talk about the three pictures in Section B 1a.复习上一课时内容,引导学生用完整的句子描述Alice, Mike和Lisa的活动。II. Writing IAsk students to fill in the blanks about their activities with “be+doing”.Lead students to put a beginning and an ending to this short passage.Beginning: Here are three pictures of my friends.Ending: Theyre all having fun.将口头表达落实到笔头书写,引导学生练习“be+doing”结构,此步骤只需书写动词即可。然后引导学生为短文添上开头和结尾,为后面的整体写作铺垫框架。III. Writing IILet students talk about Jims family photos. Lead students to talk more about the hidden information behind the pictures.Ask students to fill in the blanks about their activities with “be+doing sth.”.Lead students to make the writing better with conjunction words “because/so/and/but”.让学生谈论Jim的家庭照片,并通过提问引导学生挖掘照片后的信息。然后将口头表达落实到笔头书写,引导学生练习“be+doing sth.”结构,此步骤在上一步骤的基础上练习动词短语。然后引导学生运用“because/so/and/but”适当拓展短文,为后面的整体写作铺垫拓展内容。IV. Writing IIILet students talk about their classmates activities and lead them to talk more.Ask students to write a letter to Bob to tell him their classmates activities.Choose 2-3 passages to comment and lead students to modify their writing.让学生谈论自己同学的课间活动,并在老师的问题引导下谈论更多隐藏信息。然后将口头表达落实到笔头书写,引导学生用完整的句子形成文章,并能适当拓展。教师选取其中2-3篇进行全班讲解,最后让学生自己修改作文。V. HomeworkLevel A: Bring in some photos of your own (or draw some pictures of you and your family or friends) and write some sentences about them.Level B: Bring in some photos of your own (or draw some pictures of you and your family or friends) and write a passage about them.作业分层,让所有同学都能学以致用,促进学生的新发展。Blackboar
