Try to protect the animalsLearning emphasis: 1 Use “may” to describe something is possible.2.Use verbs and “to-infinitives” together.Teaching procedores:Step1: lead-in Guess food Guessing game (Before the zoo)Show a picture about a zoo to lead the students know “we are going to the zoo” I prepared some food in my bag. And tell students the food is for us not for the animals. ,(Ss cant see what in the bag) please guess what are in my bag. Lead Ss to say “it may be an apple/a pear) then write “may+be” on the blackboard. Then let Ss guess what are in the bag to learn how use May.Step 2: Presentation (in the zoo)1.Guessing Game ( Guess animals)T:We are going to zoo what animals you can see in the zoo.(show some incomplete pictures about animals and let Ss guess. Go on giving Ss how to use May)Ss: It may be a / an2. (input some information about how to use May. In order to help Ss complete the exercise on Page61. )Show a picture about a zoo. There are many animals in the pictures. First choose one of the animals to lead the Ss. Eg: T: Look at the elephant , what does he want to do?T: He may want to drink some water. He may want to play. PractiseLet Ss do the exercise on Page 61. complete the brackets with May with the words in the brackets.First give an example. 1. The elephant is going towards the water. It may need (need) a bath. Then let Ss write down the answers on the book, then check the answers in groups and then show the answers volunteerly.2. The little boy is crying when he saw the tigers. He _ (be) afraid of them.3. Lead Ss to say and let them grasp how to use these verbs.Step 2 : PractiseLet Ss use the words in the brackets to complete the passage.We should take action right away.
