(3) Learn and practice adverbial clauses with “when”and “while”.3. Moral Objects (1) Encourage students to observe the things around them carefully and find out the beauty of life. (2)Develop the spirit of cooperation and the optimistic attitude. Ask the students to look at the screen. T: What was the weather like yesterday? S: There was a rainstorm. Teach the students to read the new word “rainstorm” twice. Then lead in new lesson.You must remember what you were doing when you heard something important happened in the past. Could you tell us some of them?Question:T:What were you doing when?S:I was reading in the library. I was dancing in the dancing hall. . 1学生阅读1a部分内容,并根据内容完成匹配任务。2讨论答案,先要求两位同学把图片中的内容叙述一下,然后要求学生根据提示内容编写对话,并把学生所编写的对话列举在黑板上。3小结训练。要求学生在规定的时间内完成一个小练习,并请若干学生给出自己的答案。有错误的话,及时进行纠正。Step III Practice1要求学生听第一遍录音,并完成课本上1b的听力任务。2要求学生听第二遍录音,并逐句进行跟读。3完成教材1c的任务,要求学生模仿听力内容,使用“What were you/was he/she doing when?I/He/She was”进行对话练习,并邀请23名同学当堂进行演示。4邀请小组代表进行对话表演,教师给予评价。Step IV Consolidation 1.Play a guessing game Ask a student to do an action, then the other students ask and guess what he/she was doing when something important happened in the past. Play a game one by one. 2.Practice Ask the students to answer the questions. 3.Speaking Make a survey. Ask your classmates in your group what they were doing when something important happened in the past. Then one student can say own survey results each group. Step v SummaryIn this class, first by looking at the picture we introduced the topic “What were you doing when the rainstorm came?”Then we brought in the target language the past continuous tense. We grasped the meaning of it and remembered the form of it. Of course during studying the target language we have learned some vocabulary. Last we distinguished the oneconjuction word “when”. Weve also learned some key vocabulary and structures. Step VI Homework 1. Remember the words and phrases in this lesson. 2.
