About 12 or 13 years old. Students have finished this unit, theyve learned the words, phrases and sentences about this unit and know something to describe the past events. They are kind of active as well as shy.2.Teacher aim1) Language skills:students are able to speak out words and spell the words (original form&past form) correctly.students are able to read the dialogues, role-play the conversation and make their own conversation. Students are able to select the key information from the listening material.Students are able to write something about their last weekend after this class.2)Language knowledge: Students are able to remember the key words of this unit Students are able to master the use of words and phrases of this unit as well as do some exercises. Students are able to complete a passage by their own knowledge according to the known information.3)Learning strategy: Students are able to conclude how to write a short passage in time order about last weekend in the simple past tense.4)Affect & Attitude Students are able to keep interest in learning English. Students are able to learn to cooperate with their partners.3.Teaching important points students are able to speak out words and spell the words (original form&past form) correctly.students are able to read the dialogues, role-play the conversation and make their own conversation. Greeting. T says hello to Ss and tell them that: “Were going to review Unit12.” Step2.Review words and phrases.1)nouns (single form and plural form),such as : butterfly butterflies.2)verbs (original form and past form), such as : jump jumped3)phrases (present tense & past tense), such as :fly (flew) a kite Step3. Guessing game 1) T shows some pictures and ask Ss : What did he/ they do? 2) Ss see the pictures and answer: “He/ they .(the simple past tense)Step4.Practice. 1)words exercises. 2)translation exercises.Step5. Listening and speaking. 1)Introduce a new friend Sisi. 2)Listen to the conversation and answer some questions. 3)Role-play the conversation. 4)Ss make their own conversations about their last weekend with their partners.Step7. Writing. 1)T shows some pictures about my ( Crystals) last weekend. 2)Ss tell what Crystal did last weekend. 3)Ss complete the letter to SisiStep8. Summary & homework 1) Draw a summary about how to write about ones last weekend. 2) Homework : write a letter to your friend to tell him/her about your last weekend.9.Blackboard designRevision : unit 12 What did you do last weekend?butterfly butterflies. jumped jumped
