Today, we will learn some new words about food and some sentences about ordering food. We have learned some words for food, vegetables and fruit. Now what words for food do you know?S: Rice, egg, cake, bread, noodles.T: Good. What words for vegetable do you know?S: Carrot, tomato, broccoli.T: Great! What fruit do you know in English?S: Apple, orange, banana, pear.T: Wonderful! Please look at these pictures and answer: What are they? Show the pictures and teach the new words.T: Among all these foods, what would you like for dinner/breakfast/lunch/ ?S1: Id like noodles. S2: Id like apples. S3: Id like beef. S4: Id like mutton. .Step II Talking about the picture (1a)Task 1. Ask the students to read the words and match the pictures in 1a.Then check the answers. T: Now look at the picture. There are three kinds of noodles in the picture. What are the ingredients in the three Specials?S1: There are beef and tomato in Special 1. S2: There are chicken and cabbage in Special 2. S3: There are mutton and potato in Special 3. Task 2. Ask the students to make conversations and act them out.T: Now please make conversations using the given sentence pattern.Show the following. While-listeningTask 1:Ask the students to listen to the recording and check the noodles. T: Next please listen to a dialogue. In the dialogue, a girl is talking with a waiter. Listen to the recording and check the noodles that the girl orders in 1b.Check the answers.T:. What does the girl order?S1: Noodles. T: What kind of noodles does she like?S2: Beef and tomato noodles. T: Then which special does she order?S3: Special 1. 3. Post-listeningAsk the students to listen to and repeat the conversation after the recording. Step IV Pairwork (1c)1. Show some pictures and ask the students to work in pairs and practice the conversation. Sample conversations:1) S1: Hello.
