Enable to use the Present Tense correctly.Teaching emphasis and difficulty:1. Grasp the new words of this unit;2. Grasp and recite the text.Teaching steps:Step 1 Warming up 1. Greetings.2. Sing the English song “London Bridge”3. Review the words of Unit 1.Step 2 Presentation and drill1. Show the pictures of Part A .T: Youre very good. You are all good pupils. And Katie is a good pupil too. Everyone likes her. She is never late for school. She always gets up (wakes up) early every day. Then she makes her bed. Kates family often has breakfast at 6:30 am. After breakfast, she waves them goodbye.Say with actions, help the students to understand. Then write the word “late”, teach it.T: Do you get up early in the morning? What time do you get up?Do you make the bed by yourself?Game- Patting flies2. Let the students describe Katies diary life according to the pictures.Step 3 Fast reading and listening1. Read part a fast and answer the question.T: Today well learn unit two: Katie always gets up early. Read Part A carefully, and complete Part C.2. Read Part A again and repeat.Step 5 Consolidation 1. Recite the text with the words on the blackboard.2. Appraise.3.
