Unit 4 At the farm B Lets learn & Draw and say一教材分析1. PEP Book4 Unit4 At the farm这个单元学习的主题是参观农场,听说认读农场动物及蔬菜,运用句型Are these/those.?Yes,they are./ No, they arent.询问各种蔬菜或动物,What are these/those? Theyre.来询问并回答各种蔬菜或动物名称,并能在语境中仿写句子These are/those are.2. 本课是此单元的第五课时,属词汇课。内容包括Lets learn和Draw and say两部分。本课学习的核心词汇是cows, sheep, hens, horses,核心句型是:These/Those are.要求学生能够初步感知名词的复数形式变化及其读音,引导学生运用These/ Those are.来描述农场的动物和蔬菜,加强对these和those的区别运用。 二学情分析1.本课教学对象是小学四年级学生。他们活泼好动,喜欢尝试新事物,既好奇又好强,表现欲强;他们学习英语已经一年多,已经形成了一定的语言学习习惯,对英语有了一定的兴趣,他们擅长模仿,乐于表演,但注意力有不持久、不稳定的特点。2.学生们在本单元前4个课时已经学习了蔬菜单词,以及句型Are these/they.? Yes, they are./ No, they arent. 以及What are those? Theyre.三年级上册Unit 2 Colors以及三年级下册Unit 4 At the zoo学习到的颜色、动物和外貌的形容词为本课描述动物外貌特点打下语言基础。 三教学目标1.知识目标:能够听、说、认读4个有关农场动物的单词:cows, sheep, hens, horses,并能够在情景对话中正确运用单词的复数形式。2.能力目标:(1)能够在语境中正确运用这4个单词的复数形式描述农场动物。(2)能够完成Draw and say的活动,添画农场中的动物及蔬菜,并运用These/ Those are.来介绍农场动物。3.情感目标:懂得爱护动物,与大自然和谐相处。培养学生团结友爱、乐于助人的健康向上的生活方式。培养学生学习英语的兴趣,学会与他人交流合作。 四教学重难点重点:正确认读单词horse, cow, hen, sheep以及复数形式horses, cows, hens,sheep。能够运用These/ Those are.来介绍农场动物。难点: horses的读音以及sheep单复数同形。三教学过程一Warm up1. Greeting and enjoy a video about a farm in Australia.2. 2. Play a game: Quick response T: Look. This is a farm. There are many vegetables at the farm. Lets see! Are you ready? 利用PPT,分别闪过番茄、胡萝卜、豆角、土豆的图片,让学生抢答单词。二. Lead-in1. Create a story line. Uncle Tim invites students to visit his big farm. T: Uncle Tim, whats at your farm? Uncle Tim: Oh, I have many animals. These are cows. Those are hens. These are horses and those are sheep.(快闪动物图片。) T: Wow. Are the animals cute? Lets go and see.三. Presentation1.Teach “cows”.(1)T: Look! Whats this?Its strong. Its black and white. Milk comes from it. What is it? Ss: Cow.(2)Phonics teaching the sound of cow and cows. T: How many cows? Ss: One cow. ( how-cow) 教师带动作夸张示范ow的发音,关注学生发音是否到位。 课件出现3只奶牛,引导学生一起数数,自然地引出复数名词cows。(3)Teach the sentences: These are. T: What are they? Ss: They are cows. T: We also can say “These are cows.” (利用与老师距离近引导学生运用these。) 课件出现形状大小不同的奶牛,请学生观察后描述。 These are big cows./ These are small cows. T: Look at these animals. These are _. Ss: These are cows. T: Theyre so _? (老师夸张手势引出big) Ss: Theyre so big. (拓展句型,用不同句型来描述奶牛。) T: These are . cows.(课件呈现该句子,进行语言输入。) Ss: These are big cows. T: Are these cows cute? Ss: Yes. Theyre so cute. 2.Learn the word hens.(1) Present hen and phonics teaching: tenhenhens T: Where do the eggs come from? Ss: Hen!(2)Present the word “hens”. T: How many hens? Ss: One hen. T: Wow, how many hens now? (出现4只母鸡。) Ss: Four hens. (板书hens,开火车读。)(4)Teach the sentences: Those are hens. T: Are these hens? (遮住鸡的身体,出现鸡的爪子。) Ss: Yes, they are. T: These are . Ss: These are hens. T: Are those hens, too? Ss: No, they arent. T: What are they? Ss: They are cows. T: The cows are far away from us. We can say “Those are cows.”(板书并带读2次。)(5)Practice the words in the sentences: cows and hens.2.Teach the word horses.(1)Introduce “short horse” by a video.(2)Phonics teaching the sound of horse. (short-or-horse)(3)Present horses by a record.(4)Practice the sentences:These/Those are . horses. 3.Teach “sheep”.(1)Present a sheep. Teach the sound of sheep. T: Uncle Tim also has another animal. Lets listen.(播放Uncle Tim录音:Boys and girls. I have a cute animal.Its white. Do you know it?) Ss: Sheep! T: What can you see? Ss: I can see a sheep. (see-sheep)(2)Teach the plural form of sheep. Uncle Tim: The sheep are so shy. Lets find them out! T: Let me try. Sheep! 老师喊一声,跳出一只羊。老师分别请5名学生喊出sheep,跳出5只羊,为下面介绍单复数同形做铺垫。 T: How many sheep can you see? Lets count. One sheep, two sheep,.six sheep!(边数边出现英文,让学生感知单复数同形并总结。) T: What are these? Ss: They are sheep. (They _ _.)5. Read after the record. (跟着CD朗读单词和句子。) 6. Make it a chant.IV. Practice1. Task 1: What are at the farm? Uncle Tim: Children,now you can play with my animals. Oh, no! Where are my animals? Can you help me find them out?(播放Uncle Tim的录音,继续延续主线。) 一头奶牛,一只猪,两匹马,三只绵羊,四只鸡,五只小鸭子分散各处,分别躲在番茄架后,草丛里,鸡屋旁,豆角架后,只露出尾巴,鸡冠,脚丫,牛角,羊毛。给学生20秒的时间观察并小组讨论,课件出现目标句:Its a _. These are_. Those are _.让学生观察远近及单复数选择正确的句子回答。邀请学生上台来指他猜到的动物的位置。 (设计意图:锻炼学生的观察推理能力,引导学生通过数数,在句子中操练到单复数,突破本节课的重点。)2. Task 2: Count the animals(1) Uncle Tim: (利用上个活动环节结束时,课件呈现完整的动物农场图。)Boys and girls, youre sohelpful. Now help me count the animals? T: See. Its a pig. (教师示范填写。) 同桌2人一份任务纸,观察动物的数量选出正确的单词,完成单复数单词的填写。 (设计意图: 同桌一起观察图中动物数量选词填空,帮助学生进行单复数单词的建立形义联系,学会区分以及运用单复数。既能锻炼学生的观察能力,又培养学生小组合作能力。)(2) Check the answer。(3)Uncle Tim介绍此农场。 T: This is my farm. Look. Its a pig. Its a cow. These are horses. These are hens. Those are cows. And those are sheep.Theyre so cute! I love my farm. Do you want to have your farm?3. Draw and say.(1)四人一小组,利用课堂奖励的动物和蔬菜,小组合作贴出自己的农场。并合作描述自己的农场。 T: The animals are so cute. I want to have my own farm. Oh, I like cows. These are cows. I like hens. Those are hens. .(老师示范,边贴农场边运用目标句介绍。)(2)请学生上台来介绍自己的农场。 T: How do you show your farm? Lets see. (微视频示范。)Now, please show your farm.(设计意图:培养学生逐步形成主动参与、乐于探究的自主合作学习方式,进而培养学生的发散性、创造性思维。) V. Emotional educationPlay an animal song.T: The animals are so cute. We are happy at the farm. Its time for us to say goodbye. Lets see what they are doing for us. (After the song.) Theyre.三年级上册Unit 2 Colors以及三年级下册Unit 4 At the zoo学习到的颜色、动物和外貌的形容词为本课描述动物外貌特点打下语言基础。 本课词汇课是整个单元学习的重点。本课重点解决动物名词单复数形式的运用以及通过不同梯度练习的操练,使学生掌握运用句型These/Those are.来描述动物。我还注重把本课新呈现的评价句型:Theyre so cute运用到描述不同动物的教学过程中,让学生在实际运用中体会其含义及用法,并将它用到学习实际中。 整节课在内容的设计上是层层递进的,注重发挥老师的引导作用,把学生放在主体地位。单词语音教授环节都运用到自然拼读法,每个单词的读音都是由已学过的有相同发音的单词来引出,如:“How many cows?” “Ten hens.” “ Its a
