Unit 3How do you get to school?Section A2a-2e教学目标1.记忆单词: transportation交通工具:bike, car, subway, train,sixty, seventy, eighty, ninety, hundred, minute, far, kilometer, new, every, by,drive, live短语:how far, how long, by bus/train/bike2.能够运用how询问他人如何到达某地,how long询问到达某地需要多长时间,how far询问距离多远以及这些问句的回答。3.学习数十、数百基数词的构成和用法。4.通过听力训练,两人一组合作和角色扮演的方式,在情景交际中练习语言点,提高英语听说能力。在课堂活动中轻松学习、练习英语。5.渗透健康、环保的自行车出行方式。教学内容1.学会运用数十、数百的数词,学会运用how, how long, how far构成的疑问句。2.学会运用how, how long, how far构成的疑问句及其回答。3.通过听力、口语的训练,总结句型,归纳语法。教学重难点1.在听说活动中运用本单元生词、短语表达出行方式,距离远近,用时多久等。2.掌握和运用how, how long和how far疑问句的构成、回答和读音。教学思路本课的教学重点在于引导学生观看图片,理解语境,从本课时的需要出发,先学习十以上的数词,进一步引导学生在听力、口语活动中运用,回答多久、多远等问题。以活动和任务引起学生的听说兴趣,训练学生的听力和口语表达能力。利用图片辅助听力和说话,同时在对话中反复运用新学的单词和短语。因此,教师可以将知识目标定为掌握数词的书写和读音,询问和回答how, how long和how far的句型。情感目标定为通过话题的学习,培养学生运用适当的交通工具,做到既健康又环保。教学准备设计教学PPT,多媒体。教学过程Step .Lead in【情景1】T:Good morning/ afternoon, boys and girls.Ss: Good morning/ afternoon, Mr./ Ms. XX.transportation交通工具:bike, car, subway, train,【情景2】1.Review the how-questions, and ask about how the students get to school.(Show the PPT and teach the verbs.)T:How does he get to school?S1:He walks to school.T:How do they get to school?S1:They take the train.T:How long does it take?S1:It takes about forty minutes.T:How far is it from your home to school?S1:Its only about five kilometers.The teacher uses pictures or performs the actions to teach the new words. What do the numbers 1319 have in words?Ss: They all have “-teen”.T:Yes.And in the words 20,30,90,there is “-ty”.So we can learn these words easily. Say these numbers.2090.Ss: Twenty, thirty, forty,ninety.T:What about 99 and 87 in the word forms?Ss: Ninety-nine and eighty-seven.T:Yes,we use 90 and 9.Dont forget “-” between ninety and nine. In this way we can say and write the English words for the numbers below 100.T:Now,learn the word “hundred”.It means 100.Ss: Hundred.T:For more than 100,we say “one hundred and”.For example, how can we say 103 in English?Ss: One hundred and three.T:Very good.Now,213?Ss: Two hundred and thirteen.T:Right.What about 999?Ss: Nine hundred and ninety-nine.2.Listen and repeatT:Now listen and repeat these numbers.Ss read the English words for these numbers and write the correct number next to the word.3.Help the students to know how the English number forms.【Keys】2a:sixty-one 61seventy-two 72eighty-four 84ninety-nine 99one hundred and five 105two hundred 200设计意图通过比较、总结,学习数十、数百的数词及其英语单词形式,听说结合,读写结合,加深记忆。Step .Listening (2b-2d)1.Before listeningT:Look at 2b.What are we hearing today? Can you guess?Ss: How?How long?How far?T:Yes.Listen to the conversation and pay attention to these points. You can hear “how”,“walk”,“take the bus” or some others. And “how long”,“10 minutes”,“twenty minutes” or “half an hour”.And “how far”,“two kilometers”,“How many kilometers?”2.Play the tape for the students to listen for the first time. Ss listen and complete the chart. We can first fill in the Tom column, then fill in the Jane column. Finish 2b and 2c.3.T:Now listen again, check your answers.(2c)4.Read the conversation in 2d aloud with the information in 2b and 2c.T:Good! Now look at activity 2d.Please ask and answer the questions. Use the information in 2b.T:Will you present your conversations to the class? Lets ask four pairs to role-play the conversations.(Four pairs of students present their conversations to the class. You can learn from the teacher and imitate the pronunciation and intonation.
