Section B 2b Reading “Maybe you should learn to relax!” 教学设计 汪瑛 【教材分析】本节课是人教版八年级下册第四单元的一篇阅读。本篇阅读的主要内容是围绕学生的课外活动这一话题而展开的,主要讨论现实生活中学生所承受的过重压力和负担以及找寻解决这些问题并能够放松自己的一些方法。【教学目标】1.知识目标:掌握文章中的重点词汇;掌握略读、跳读、速读等基本阅读技巧;2.能力目标:提高利用阅读技巧阅读文章,提炼文章主旨大意的能力,以及写作能力;3.情感目标:通过对本课的学习,使学生们懂得学习要劳逸结合,并学会善于和父母沟通谈心,让孩子们要理解父母。【教学重点】: 1、掌握文章中的重点词汇;掌握略读、跳读、速读等基本阅读技巧; 2、通过对本课的学习,使学生们懂得学习要劳逸结合,并学会善于和父母沟通谈心,让孩子们要理解父母。【教学难点】:1、在阅读时善于使用简单的工具书及阅读技巧查找信息,帮助理解文章大意。2、灵活掌握本课遇到的句型和短语,并能学以致用,把输入的知识变成语言的输出。【教学方法】:Task-based language teaching methodPair work and group work 【教学过程】Step 1: Lead-inFree talk Have a free talk with the students about after-school activities.(PPT演示)T:Do you have some after-school classes to take?S2: Yes.T: What kind of classes do you have?S3:I take lessons.S4:I havetraining.T:Do you love those after-school classes?Do you get a lot of pressure from them?S1:Yes.S2:No.T:Does the pressure only happen in China?”(设计意图:自由谈论环节是读前的热身活动,目的是为了调动学生已有的知识储备和激发学生学习的兴趣,引入“pressure”这个话题。并通过问题“Does the pressure only happen in China?”,为阅读文章做铺垫。)Step 2 Before-reading (PPT演示)T: We have known more about after-school classes and some pressure . Lets read an article about them. Before you read, lets learn some new words first.(设计意图:学习生词在一定程度上有助降低学生理解课文的难度)Step3 While reading (PPT演示)Fast reading: Ask the students to read the passage in silence and finish the following tasks.Task 1: Work on 2b1. What is the common problem for Chinese and American families?2. who give their opinions about the problems?Task 2: Look though each paragraph quickly and match the main idea with the proper paragraphParagraph 1Paragraph 2Paragraph 3Paragraph 4Chinese children are busier on weekends than weekdays these days.Life for Cathy Taylors three children is very busy.Linda Miller knows all about such stress.Doctors say too much pressure is not good for a childs development. (设计意图:这个步骤让学生能够了解文章及每一段的大意,对文章有一个整体而又清晰的认识。并引导学生运用略读技巧,培养学生阅读概括能力。)Careful reading : Let students read the passage carefully and finish the following tasks:Task 3: Read Paragraph 1 and answer the questions1. Lets students listen to the tape and read the passage together.2. Lets them have a discussion and write down their opinions.(设计意图:让学生以小组合作的形式讨论出本组“如何去放松”的方法。既能让学生们各抒己见,取长补短,又能体现了学生的合作与创新。)Step 6: Homework. 1. Try to remember the new words and try to use them.2.
