Unit 2 How often do you exercise? Section A (1a-2c)一、学情分析经过七年级的英语学习,大多数学生已经逐渐养成了良好的英语学习方法和学习习惯,具备了一定的合作学习的能力,在英语表达上也有了一定的提升。 本节课把活动与学生的兴趣相结合,让学生积极主动地参与进来,在本课的活动中,学生在七年级已经学过了一些关于活动的动词短语,例如watch TV等,具备一定的词汇积累,同时这个话题与学生的日常活动密切相关,容易引起学生参与的热情,那么在后面的教学活动中,学生就可以积极参与合作,从活动中感知频率副词的使用。二、教学目标1. 语言目标让大部分学生能恰当使用 always, usually, often, sometimes, hardly ever, never等频率副词来表达日常活动的频率,能掌握并运用以下句型进行顺畅的对话: What do you usually do on weekends? I usually go to the movies. What does he do on weekends? He sometimes goes to the movies. How often do you shop? I shop once a month. How often does Cheng Tao watch TV? He watches TV twice a week.2. 能力目标 学习描述课余时间的活动安排,初步培养学生的语言综合运用能力。3. 德育目标 让学生懂得如何合理分配课余时间,来安排业余活动,做一个拥有好习惯的学习者和生活者。三、教学重点:1复习并学会运用重点词汇:go shopping, shop, read, watch TV, go to the movies2. 重点句型,要求大部分学生学会并能进行下列对话: What do you usually do on weekends? I usually watch TV. What does he do on weekends? He sometimes goes to the movies. How often do you shop? I shop once a month. How often does Cheng Tao watch TV? He watches TV twice a week.四、教学过程:Step1, Lead-inT: Greetings. Im new for you, let me introduce myself to you. When Im free, I like watching TV, sometimes I help my daughter with her homeworkStep2, Survey , What activities do you do?T: Next, let me know something about you. I want to know what kind of activities you do most at school, at home on weekends.这个环节通过调查学生平时的课余活动,既让学生复习已知的活动短语,也让学生了解到了几个重点词组,老师通过学生的回答可判断学生对这些活动短语的掌握程度。然后由学生总结出活动的短语,老师通过与学生的交流和问答了解学生的掌握程度。并且在总结环节输入一些新的课余活动词汇。Step3,Pair workT: work in pairs, ask your partner what they do on weekends.练习句型 -What do you do on weekends? -I often go to the movies.T: Listen carefully, can you tell me “What does student A do on weekends?”Ss answer, pay attention “She/He does”此环节用来完成教材中的1c部分,重点练习使用课余活动的短语,先练习第二人称,再练习第三人称主语的谓语动词单数形式。Step4,ListeningFirst, listen and tick the activities you hear.Second, listen and choose the adverbs of frequency此环节用来完成教材1b听力。Step5,PracticeAsk and answer. T asks how often everyone does different things in the conversation. Ss answer.老师和学生的问答,练习句型How often do you do things? How often does she/he do things?这一环节充分利用听力材料,拓展听力材料的用途,在老师与学生的问答中,让学生感知频率副词的使用以及在句子中的位置,老师也通过学生的回答掌握学生掌握程度。此环节还特别提醒学生注意第三人称主语的谓语动词三单形式。Step6,Listen 2a +2bT: First, look at the calendar, how often does Cheng Tao watch TV? S: Twice a week. T: twice a week is adverbs of frequency too. We also can say three times a week, four times a month, etc.Second, listen for the first time, and put these activities into the right order.Third, listen again, match adverbs of frequency with the activities.此环节完成教材听力的2a 和2b部分,让学生感知频率副词的另一些形式,此处老师与学生的问答中教学生学会其他形式的频率副词。Step7,Activity Cheng and YouAsk and answer. T: “How often does Cheng go to the movies?” Ss answer. T: How often does Cheng watch TV?” Ss answer, etc.T: What do you think of Cheng? Is he hard-working? Is he lazy? Ss answer.T: Then, how about yourself, how often do you do these activities? Ss answer.Step8,Free Talk: How do you want to spend your own life?T: Imagine your life, how do you want to spend your own life? Try to say it out!此环节让学生充分发挥自己所想,让学生描绘自己理想的生活,让学生运用频率副词任意安排自己的活动。此时老师要注意教学评价,指导学生正确合理安排自己的生活娱乐学习。为其后的主题升华做好铺垫。Step9,主题升华Exercise makes life more exciting I think the best way to relax is through exercise, because its healthy for the mind and the body.Step10. Homework Ask your friends how often they do after-school activities, and write a diary about that.五、板书设计Unit 2 How often do you exercise?
