Section A (3a3c)【学情分析】本次我的教学对象-九年义务教育八年级第二学期的学生。他们的英语已有一定基础,接受能力较强;有比较强烈的用英语表达的欲望;喜欢紧凑、有序的课堂环节。也有一小部分学生学习很努力,但效果与付出却不成正比,通过初步诊断,发现原因在于缺乏良好的学习习惯、学习方法不当、学习信心不足。因而这类学生更倾向于接受有他们熟知并喜欢的主题教学课堂。本单元的Section A Reading部分是阅读一篇关于孙悟空有关的文章,话题是学生很感兴趣的故事,教学中以学生为主体,教师为引导,突出听读领先,读写联动的教学模式。【教材分析】由人教社出版的新目标初中英语新教材编写特点是:每个单元分为Section A和Section B两部分;Section A部分是基本的语言内容;Section B部分是知识的扩展和综合的语言运用;Self Check部分,学生用来自我检测本单元所学的语言知识。【单元分析】本单元主要内容以神话故事为主线,要求学生能够听懂和学会用英语叙述故事,并能根据故事的相关信息发表自己的观点,模仿和运用语言。【设计思路】基于以上分析,总的思路是根据学生实际情况,遵循学生身心发展的普遍规律,按照学生认知水平和能力,由易到难,逐级设置任务,合理使用教材、安排教学内容,注重学生学习英语的过程,强调学以致用,即我在教学过程中必须围绕特定的交际目的和语言项目,设计出可操作性强的、任务化的教学目标,在保持学生学习兴趣的同时,提高课堂学习的效率。本节课突出学生为主体的教学活动,使学生通过多种课堂学习方式,运用一定阅读策略,如快速阅读寻找段落中心句,以及给文章添加具有概括性的标题,最终完成系统的任务链,达到学习语言和掌握语言的目的。教学目标(内容框架)、Analysis of the Teaching MaterialsIn last unit , we have learned how to talk about past events and tell stories . We will continue to learn how to tell a story in this unit. The topic of this unit is legends and stories. It will arise students interest in learning it. Through the study, we also learn the usage of some conjunctions: unless, as soon as and sothat.、Teaching Aims and Demands1、 Knowledge Objects: Words: object, magic, stick, hide, tail, turninto, excite, western,Structures: He can make 72 changes to his shape and size. Unless he can hide his tail, he cant turn himself into a person. Sometimes he can make the stick so small that he can keep it in his ear. The Monkey King has excited the children of China for many years. My best friend Larry is quite different from me. As soon as the program came out, western children became interested in the story.2、 Ability Objects:(1) Develop students reading and comprehensive skills.(2) Cooperation learning.(3) Learn the usage of “unless”, “as soon as” and “sothat”.3、Moral Objects Educate students to keep fighting against evildoers and bad deeds and never give up.、Teaching Key and Difficult Points1、 Key Points:Master the key words and expressions.Reading the article quickly and find the topic sentences. Try to understand the details by some questions. 2、Difficult Points: Be able to understand the passage and introduce their favorite story with target language. Learn to read the article by answering some questions.、Teaching MethodsTask-based teaching method, Communicative method、Learning MethodsMultimedia method and group work、Teaching AidsMulti-media 教学过程(Teaching Procedures)教学环节与内容师生活动Step 1 Lead-in 1. Self-introduction and a guessing game. 2. Introduce a new word: excite Warm up and make students relaxed by playing a guessing game. Step 2 Before Reading By talking about my hobbyReading books, show them western books and traditional books, and ask the students to guess the meaning of “western” and ask them to make a prediction.Talk about some western and traditional books. Encourage the students to guess what we will read about.Step 3 Fast Reading 1. Give two questions: “Which book is talked about?” and “Who is the main character?” , ask students to read through the passage. 2.By comparing two pictures to introduce some new words and expressions.3. Design 5 Tasks for the students.Train the fast reading skill with checking the answers. Ask students to find the differences between two pictures and help students to understand the details.Step 4 Detailed Reading Task 1: Ask students to listen to the first paragraph, find the answer to “What happened in November 1979?” and fill in the blank with “traditional”.Play a video with some periods from a movie for the students.And introduce some key words and expressions in Paragraph Two.Task 2: Ask students to read the second paragraph, complete the blanks and the chart: what he can do and what he cant do.1.The Monkey King can _ _ _ to his body. He is able to _ _ _ different animals and objects2. He can make the stick _ small _he can keep it in his ear.3. He uses the magic stick to _ _ _.Task 3: Ask students to read Para. 3 together and try to answer: Why are children interested in reading about the Monkey King? And help them to think of the people we have learned before who have the same spirit.Task 4: Teach two reading strategies.1. Match the main idea with each Para. (Usually the topic sentences appear in the beginning or the end of the Para. Finding topic sentences is very important for our reading.) 2. Which is the best title? (The title of an article is a more overall generalization.)Listen to the first paragraph and ask students to answer some questions to understand the details better.All of the students are interested in watching a video , and its very helpful for them to remember the key words and difficulties of the passage. Help the students to think of the people with the qualities: “keep fighting to help the weak” and “never give up”. Educate students to keep fighting against evildoers and bad deeds and never give up. By teaching the reading skills , students can finish the task easily. Step5 RetellingTask 4: Make an Introduction.A pen pal Jack is very interested in the Monkey King. Can you tell him more about the character?Tell them retelling is a good way to remember the details, and encourage them to retell after class.Show them an example with some blanks to develop their speaking and writing skills with the target language.Step6 Summary and Homework1. Summary: Summarize the structure of the passage, tell students it can help them to write their own passage.2. Homework:Try to introduce your favorite story or describe your favorite character to us
