人教版新目标七年级英语下册Unit 9 What does he look like?第1课时Section A (1a-1c)教学设计 吹麻滩中学 陶玉燕教学分析本单元的主要学习目标是学会介绍自己的外貌,能够谈论他人的外貌,并发表自己的看法。相对于其他单元来说,本单元知识与其他语法项联系较少,是一个相对独立的单元。在进行教学设计时,可以相对灵活地处理。学习本单元所需知识储备主要是有关人的相貌的一些词汇如tall, short, straight, hair, eye,和句型She has -, He is -及“Yes / No” questions等。本单元的能力培养目标是运用Guessing的策略,结合现实中的人物,培养学生的仔细观察和准确描述人的相貌的能力。教学目标知识目标:识记单词:curly, straight, tall, medium, thin,height,be of medium height, heavy, build, be of medium build 能掌握以下句型: What does he / she look like? He / She is short /of medium height /tall. What does he /she look like? He /She is thin / of medium build /heavy. What does he /she look like?-He /She has long /short /curly /straight hair.能力目标:让学生学会谈论描述人物的外貌。并能积极思维,应用所学单词,短语及句型,结合实际生活进行灵活运用。情感目标:教育学生要多发现别人的优点,学会赞美别人,友好地描述别人的形象。教学重点掌握单词,熟练掌握描述人的形象的句型。教学难点掌握描述人的形象的句型。教学准备教师准备1.准备在大白纸上写好练习;2.设计课后巩固练习;3.收集课文中所涉及的实物或图片。学生准备1.学生自己画或者准备一些喜欢的人的图片,搜集一些描述人的单词。教学步骤任务时间活动形式师生课堂活动设计意图Step 1Warm-up(Lead-in)20分钟1. Match the words with the people in the picture. (1a)学习课本的第一部分P49, 1a先看图片,然后搭配图片和相关的外貌特征的词。Now please look at P49, use the letters to match the people in the picture with one of the numbered words. Write each letter next to a numbered word. You can use some letters more than once. Point out the sample answer. (Keys: c, f, a, a, d, h, e, b, g, e)留2-3分钟读写1a中的单词、短语。2.引导学生熟悉有关描述人的外貌特征的词(1)用漫画人物教有关height,curly等单词。然后操练“What does he look like? He is really tall.”注意be动词的用法。(2)一个cartoon girl教身体的各部位(ear, face, hair, eye, nose, mouth)。然后操练“What does she look like? She has long straight hair.”注意has的用法。让学生发现问题,找出没掌握的单词。Step 3Practice6分钟1cPair work模仿并编对话Ask the students to play the guessing game.1. Read the conversation and recite it.2. Practice like the conversation according to some pictures.让学生从听、模仿到独立对话再到自由运用what does he look like句型和答语。学会描述人物。Step 4Pair Work5分钟Practice the conversations like this: A: What does he /she look like? B: He /She is He /She has 进一步练习单词和句型,提高听、写、说和演的能力。Step 5Summary2分钟询问人物外貌特征的句型:What does + 主语 + look like? 长的怎么样?描述某人的外表:(1)sb is +adj. (2) sb has +adj. +n通过归纳总结,让学生轻松牢记句型Step 6Exercise课后练习6分钟1. 反义词,连一连。 short A: curly straight B: tall thin C: white long D: heavy black E: short2. 巩固提高练习:用is或has填空: 1).My new friend thin and tall. 2). Linda curly hair. 3).Dave short. But his sister tall. 4).Her father a little heavy. 5).Helen of medium height and she long black hair.3. 句型转换: 1).My sister has long curly hair.(改为否定句) My sister long curly hair. 2).Jack has short hair.(改为一般疑问问) Jack short hair? Yes, . 3).She is not thin or heavy.(改为同义句) She is . 4). Yao Ming is very tall and thin.(对划线部分提问) Does Yao Ming ? 5).Peter is of medium height.(对划线部分提问) Peter look like?巩固本课所学知识,考查学生的运用能力,全面评价学生。Step 7Homework1分钟 1.Remember these words and phrases. 2.
